luke88 Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 (edited) Here's one for anyone looking for a different look in Blackshark. This mod changes the day time sky colour from the standard blue to a nice overcast grey, giving the game a more realistic and subdued look. Does not affect performance. Use Modman to install. Thanks go to Antonio Gatti for his work on the original Skycolor Mod for FC. airtom Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 (edited) When I set in game weather: Season: summer Temperature: 20° No clouds No fog (default weather) why should the sky look foggy grey? To me, it is unrealistic. Can this mod be done for different weather settings? Edited March 19, 2010 by airtom
T-Bone Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 You can change the rgb values yourself. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Asus G72GX | CPU: Core 2 Duo Overclocked @ 2.9Ghz | Memory 6GB DDR2 | Graphics Card: nVidia GTX 260m 1GB | OS: Windows 7 Home Premium | Monitor: Samsung 32" LCD LOMAC 1.0 to FC 1.12 System RIP (2003-2010) | AMD Athlon 64 3000+ overclocked to 2565MHz | NVidia Geforce 7800 GS AGP 256 MB | 1GB Kingston PC2700 DDR DRAM | Windows 2000 with SP4
airtom Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 You can change the rgb values yourself. You don't get my point. The mod looks great itself. But why the sunny weather should look grey? I thought, this mod will improve foggy or cloudy weather. So my question is, can this mod change the sky color only when appropriate weather is chosen in game?
T-Bone Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 It's just for aesthetics really so no. I would use it in just for fun applications like moviemaking :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Asus G72GX | CPU: Core 2 Duo Overclocked @ 2.9Ghz | Memory 6GB DDR2 | Graphics Card: nVidia GTX 260m 1GB | OS: Windows 7 Home Premium | Monitor: Samsung 32" LCD LOMAC 1.0 to FC 1.12 System RIP (2003-2010) | AMD Athlon 64 3000+ overclocked to 2565MHz | NVidia Geforce 7800 GS AGP 256 MB | 1GB Kingston PC2700 DDR DRAM | Windows 2000 with SP4
airtom Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Ah, ok then. But would be nice to have that option ;)
zdXu Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 (edited) Picture looks like a weather situation where more than 1 cloud layer exist and the highest cloud-layer is overcast (so you cant see the blue sky) and a lower cloud-layer is few, scattered or broken. Quite often weather-stations are reporting more than one cloud-layer.
