Eddie Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I'd happily part with some cash for one or two, but probably not until the Hog is released.
Shaman Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I have low res version already on my wall printed. Waiting for the high res one! Some guidelines how to print maintaining correct 1:500000 or 1:1000000 scale would be nice to have here (in the 1st post). 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer

I need info for purchase and postal around europe? We may have to move to a PLAN B. The shipping costs for an unfolded map in a cardboard tube are ridiculous, as UK to USA = $60! The problem is that shipping costs are related to volume, not just weight. I am meeting a specialised map printer next week to discuss a folded 1:500,000 map. The shipping costs for this will be very much lower. I will post when I have more information. 1 Having problems? Hi Jim, What about Licensing Agreement and a copyright issue? If I take a PDF file of FC 2.0 map made by using FC 2.0, and take it to my local Office Depot for printing, am I breaking a licensing aggrement and copyright low? I don't think anyone in their right mind would even care. Just do anything you want if its for your own personal use and your not making money out of it. I remember the days when you bought a sim and you got a giant manual and fold out maps etc for your money. PDF's are a pain in the backside and a cop-out for game producers to provide you with a proper manual. I like to have a read whilst on the loo but i certainly aint gonna take my laptop in there lol

We do not consider you are breaking any law. What we are trying to explore is how to provide users with a 1:500,000 map that is of an appropriate size, and for which the average user will not have access to a printer that can print such a large scale map. In addition, the map creator will be adding much more information than is available in a screen dump of F10. If the community is not interested, then no problem, but let me know. I'll then go back to testing DCS:A10C! Having problems? I would think there should be cheaper options available - it's still a standard to send posters and so forth in a tube format, and it doesn't seem to hike up the cost much. P&P for this item (just as a random google'd example) to the US from the UK is £5, seemingly using a tube too (and not just the London Underground variety :D). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Laminated-London-Underground-Poster-Tube-Map_W0QQitemZ220582003232QQcategoryZ4152QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DDLSL%252BSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BIEW%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D10%26po%3D%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D8915213622212026494#shId (Click from the Description tab to the Postage and payments tab) [ i7 2600k 4.6GHz :: 16GB Mushkin Blackline LV :: EVGA GTX 1080ti 11GB ] [ TM Warthog / Saitek Rudder :: Oculus Rift :: Obutto cockpit :: Acer HN274H 27" 120Hz :: 3D Vision Ready ]

However the problem is that the tube will have to be 110 cm long, and the standard shipping tube size is 90 cms. Once you go over 90 cms, it is categorised as a parcel by Royal Mail, UPS, etc and costs increase greatly. Having problems?
