Try the X-31. And at least it doesn't pretend to not be an experimental model. There's nothing secret about the OVT's TVC.

F-16's have tons of upgrades, is there any doubt?

Really? I thought Blk60 was just introduced to make the bird look a little weird.

Enough with the FSX cheerleading please, it's off topic.

(and IMHO X-Plane is much better and has X-Plane 10 in development, whereas FSX has been abandoned - so please no more hyping up FSX, since many of us that use both disagree ... and are here to fight as well as fly!).

That's no longer true. Microsoft has started the work on new FS called "Microsoft Flight". Check it out http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/

Even if FSX was abandoned by Micro$oft, I doubt that the community would be so quick to let go of it. People have been flying FS2004 since it released, and certain mod teams are still developing for it. The same would go for FSX I believe.

If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

CJ, MLU, Block50/52+Advanced, Block60, F-2. And there are others if custumers want, in similar fashion as Sukhoi is doing.

So I think unless you want to put only your personal tastes forward, there is really no technical reasons to say the falcon had any less upgrades than the Hornet.

It was to me. One thing about this forum. Even native speakers ignore or do not recognise sarcasm.

I also thought about Pilotasso might have accidently quoted the wrong post (mine).

Just asking

More maneuverable than the 37?

Either both, they would suit me find lol ;) any Russian airplanes would do for me. I just find them more graceful in the skies...

NO pund intended to US or Canadian jet fighters... :)

That's no longer true. Microsoft has started the work on new FS called "Microsoft Flight". Check it out http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/

The only relation "Flight" has to "Flight Simulator" is in the name. Flight is being designed by a different bunch of developers (the FSX developers were laid off => hence I used the word "abandoned") and is for a more "casual" audience than Flight Simulator.

I don't know exactly how "casual" this is (details on Flight are rare), but for sure it will not be as good at the simulation aspect as FSX or X-Plane (or DCS).

Conclusion, FSX is abandoned. I would also consider FSX 'more abandoned' than Falcon, since the latter benefited immensely from a code leak - which has allowed it to live on and improve. Perhaps Lockheed Martin might make FSX++ commercial available, perhaps not. Until then it is all vapourware and FSX stands abandoned by the rights-holder (although still heavily used and modded).

Just as well ED (and X-Plane) are keeping the torch alive for the high realism crowd.

I wouldn't say that until I get my hand on the final product. The game seem to be developed from Microsoft ESP which developed from FSX. Eventhough ACE was shut down, Microsoft didn't laid off their core members and they are working on this title.

Anyway this is just off the topic here.

Despite the apparent wishes of this community I think F-15E Strike Eagle will be the next ED DCS aircraft.

I hope FSX doesn't get the same fate as Age of Empires. Age of Empires 3 was an awesome game, with brilliant graphics for its time (and for now for that matter), great gameplay, some concern with historical accuracy, and various civilizations you could play with (8 on the original game, 14 with all expansions). I never played AoE2 consistently, but it is rated even higher than AoE3 and multiplayer communities are still going strong on it.

Now, Age of Empires Online is free-to-play with cartoonish low-poly graphics, gameplay which reminds me of Farmville, spells to summon allies, and if you want to unlock one full civilization (to get the benefits of paying players), it costs $20, i.e., roughly half of a full game.

I wouldn't be surprised if this micro-transaction model was used in Flight as well.

The next aircraft will be a Hornet.

If ED doesn't jump in a post within the next half hour and say it's not...then we know it's a Hornet!

It may or may not be a hornet, and that tactic won't work. ;)

I don't care if it is hornet , I just care if it is a fighter. A fixed wing tells us it's most likely a fighter. now I conclude it to be F15C. It takes much less work to develop F15c than F18c. I think ED may well tell us its type though they can't tell us exactly what it is for certain reasons. Time is up !
