Immmer Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 When you start Su25T quickstart mission and after going to ground mode, you can see on the HUD diamond which shows enemy vehicle. I can only presume that it is ground radar. How to turn it on when you fly other missions?
Topo Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Su-25T has no radar, only skhval tv system... Maybe is your realism seting?
Distiler Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 You need the L-081 "Fantasmagoria" pod under the belly for those diamonds to be seen. 159th_Viper Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Designated in the Mission Editor as Targets/Objectives iirc, hence the Targeting Diamond. 1 Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Mugenjin Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 nah, the mission is set up like that. It's the same with the A-10 quickstart mission. Try campaign and there won't be any HUD diamonds (well except for the Su-25's ARM mode).
Immmer Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 Designated in the Mission Editor as Targets/Objectives iirc, hence the Targeting Diamond. Now everythings clear thanks
RedTiger Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 The explanation for those in the A-10 was that it was the pave penny pod picking up a laser spot on something being painted by ground troops.
Immmer Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 Another question. How to set up a unit in editor to be displayed as a diamond on the HUD? I have opened Su25T quickstart mission in editor. Didnt notice any option for this.
Garfieldo Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 afaik the unit has to be set as the target of your plane in your plane's option menu in the editor. next to "loadout" and "waypoints" there should be "targets". if you designate a vehicle as a target that way, you will see it in the hud. i didn't try it in FC2.0, but it is that way in BS. 1
jib Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I have spent the last two hours finding out that the HUD targeting diamonds act strange in flamming cliffs 2.0. First off you need to have a wing-man for them to show up at all (if you can fix this tell me how!) if you have a wingman, targets like enemy ground vehicles will automatically be diamonded (when the wing-man sees them?) even if no attack points are set. If you want buildings to show up you will select buildings and place the attack radius around them . tanks will still show up if the wing-man sees them the diamond pop up at about 8 miles from target this is my experience in flaming cliffs 2.0 (I'm not sure if it is different in the original) if anyone else has a different one it would be good to see that to.
