Congratulations and a little complaint about FC 2.0

I'd like to thank ED to have released Black Shark, i stopped simming from about 3 years because i was bored to fly always the same old stuff. I just discovered BS some days ago, printed the manual and i'm still studying it. I'm also noticing that, really, the sim needs better tutorials for beginners, besides the few comunity provided ones.

In the end i'm Amazed with sim, really a great job!

Now about FC 2.0..

I'd like to buy it, but i find totally pointless the requirement for the first LOMAC box, think about it, even for your convenience.

Many people dont want to be bothered to order a box of a dated sim just to play a new one, it's totally no sense. For the sake of the digital software distribution era, you should remove that limitation and make ASAP a full downloadable package, as the software being a transition to the DCS engine, could be considered a full new sim.

I will not buy FC 2.0, since a full LOMAC 1.0 comprensive download version is released.

I believe that ED are considering releasing a LOFC 1 and 2 box together. Just takes time.

UBI still owns LOMAC and FC was an addon to LOMAC. So Ubi still has a tight Grip on what ED do with the Locon game.

BTW the russian version doesen't need it, because UBI has no rights over it, 1C distributed it I think.

Ya, I think they are stuck with Ubi. Ubi decide what they want to do with original LockOn.

 

I think that probably a last time they will improve Flaming Cliff. and they going to add each plane into DCS series. i.e. Blackshark and A10C and who know what next.

its not too bad, I just ordered LockOn on Ebay for 5 bucks total...came in a less than a week and now I got FC2...though I wonder if FC2 would install without lomac...didn't seem to even ask about LockOn at all

It won't install without LOMAC, I had to reinstall to fix a broken installation, before FC2 would install.

FC2 checks if LOMAC is present, an Ubisoft requirement. If LOMAC is present, the FC2 install will install without a problem. If LOMAC is not present, FC2 will not install with a message that it can not find LOMAC>

I don't like actions taken by Ubisoft. Copyrights should belong always to the artists that made a product. Producer should be able just to share copyrights but only in second row. Period! Artist should be able to continue in future their work even with other producers. Many things can change after signing a contract. The contract shouldn't be a chirograph.

My plans were to just stick with the Shark and sometimes log FC 2.0 to fly fixed wings.

Well the plan will always be to stick with the shark but without fixed wings diversions just until DCS:A10.

i think until LO isn't abandonware Ubi will keep an eye on it .

solutions are few , or you create a sim more general public oriented or you transfer LO planes to DCS but if ED wants to add the perfection level to the new planes we may wait a bit . personnally i'm expecting a more DCS like sim (with high degree of realism) . i think ED doesn't need Ubi support anymore because they don't have concurrency on a first hand and then because LO proved to be a good game . With the FC2 arrival LO life duration has been drastically increased and why not meanwhile all planes are adapted to DCS why not publishing few goodies here and there low cost addons featuring new ground units or new features . publish an addon with 1 new ship 3 or 4 new grounds units sell it at 5/6E believe be it'll be sold like hot cakes and they are lot stuff that people are awaiting a lot (A400M,Tiger,NH-90 ... stop it there it's not the post goal)

Dude I bought a "like new" LOMAC disc because mine is completely F**KED.... 60p plus P&P off Amazon lol cheaper than a bag of chips!
