Well, I was on the brink of ordering a CH Fighterstick with Pro Pedals but after the recent G940 update I'm now curious as to just how good the stick is. Maybe a poll will bring some clarity.

PS. Please don't vote prematurely and ensure you've experimented with the various settings before passing judgement.

I think it's awesome for DCS as long as you turn of FF in producer.cfg.

However, 5.09 completely changes the feel of the joystick in a bad way IMO for pretty much all other simulations I have. Check Logitech forums for more info.

Im still decided in changing HOTAS scheme in the coming months, Either X65 or HOTAS warthog. Logitech pedals and throttle are gathering dust. Brought back my CH gear online.

Yeah, i'll buy one of those.. probably the x65, because i don't like do use pedals (hopping i can keep my job in the next few months :noexpression: otherwise.. bye bye x65 :D)

I sent my G940 back to Amazon a few weeks ago. I only had it for about 3 weeks and thought it was pretty good but not good enough to replace my Cougar NXT'd.

All due to FFB, which IMHO is overrated, and doesnt work as advertised.

It's not overrated when it works correctly. Ever tried flying the shark with a MSFFB2? Go try that and then tell me again this is overrated :)

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Agreed. Poorly implemented FFB is just annoying or at best a gimmick; however, well implemented FFB adds an significant immersion factor that is genuinely missed if lost. I haven't been real impressed with the G940 yet, but it's getting there. With the latest patch, there is real improvement. Rather than feeling like a beta release, it now feels like a first release. What I'm really looking forward is G940-specific programming in DCS/LockOn (sounds like this may eventually happen). I think the results of that will finally show the fuller dimensions of what this stick can do.

Is it possible to program the FFB to react according to lua data from the sim? for example I would like to program a stick pusher like in the mig-29, The program would be like : if aoa 26 then push Y AXIS -5 degrees. (I'm not a programer this is just an idea)
