I big disadvantage to my textures is that you don't get a nice curved aircraft symbol in the ADI, so...

 

I re-did it!

Drop the 2 textures in TempTextures as usual.

Thanks for all the support, guys. It really means a lot! I hope to have my textures converted to TGAs with transparencies soon as well. This should make them look much better too!

this may sound strange but for some reason my integrity check is failing. I also have the jumpers mod on. Would that conflct with the 104th integrity check?

 

could this be because i renamed those files to TGA or whatever it was i had to do to make doctorK's hud work with your mod?

No, this mod will have nothing to do with the integrity check. Simply install the 104th Intergrity Check Modman pack to fix your problem.

Doc by any chance is your mod compatible with Jumper/Archer's F15 Cockpit mod. What i mean is... Can i use some of those cockpit textures along with the Canopy Frame and New HUD that you have made?

i did that. I also tried uninstalling all the f-15 cockpit modman packs. Unfortunately, I did not back up the files I replaced manually (as this mod requires you to install textures into the temptextures folder). I was talking to one of the 104th guys on TS yesterday, he said there is a problem with this mod and the new integrity check. Not to sure whats going on maybe it is a problem on my side. What I do know is right after I installed this mod the integrity check failed. Could be a coincidence though.

 

Today I will try reinstalling lock on and flaming cliffs 2 and then see if i have any luck.

I will say it again, this mod will not effect the integrity check running on the 104th. If someone told you on TS it would, they are wrong. So you say you tried the modman pack? It will get on the server 100% guaranteed. PM me as this is really OT form this topic.

Ah thank you for your help. It was a problem on my side. I had the old 104th integrity check modman pack, I didnt notice there was a new one. The problem was that the new export.lua thing wasnt installed. This new pack installed that or changed the settings or w/e it does ha. Thanks again.

Which parts do you mean Crunch?

 

I cannot see any clashing of nightlighting textures on my end

i have to say, the combination of Aeroscout's HD dials and DoctorK's reworked pit is a winner :)

those red gauges imo dont look to good , and they are the wrong color. f15 is white gauges inside.

i do agree finding f15 cockpits is hard not much i can find either, in general usa aircraft like the f16 f15 are white gauges . looking at the pic above, looks the same as the f16 imo.

 

the a10a was outfitted green.

 

good ref is believe it or not falcon 4 gauges

anyone that wants to do russian cockpits, for ref heres the mig29 cockpit gauges.

 

i rekon the su33 27 and the su25 25t will be the standard red like this as well.

I hadn't realized the color of the gauges would be such a point of contention... :glare:

 

I will try to make white-ish lights soon. We'll see how it goes. Unfortunately, I believe this will require a different technique than what I was doing before.

all about realism .. try to get everything correct. like most mods its best to do research on the mod at hand first prior to making them, for me i watched countless hours and have many audio samples of fighters jets, to simulate in my new audio mod for LOFC 2.0

little unfair saying that , anyone is entitled to make mods if they feel they can do it, why make all the long hard effort to reproduce nice gauges to get the night colors wrong? , why a little research is important.

 

again for personnal tastes, if you like red illumination in a f15 so be it, but its far from realistic.

The one big restriction of the lighting is the needle color which is hard coded and can not be changed. So, I chose the needle color as the mod's light color. It's less orange than the original and the gauges match perfectly to the needles.

 

I also changed the way of textureing. Whereas the original replaces the lit parts with the night textures, my mod adds the highlights only. By this change, the color looks more natural at various situations. You can see it in these examples.
