golfsierra2 Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 C'mon guys, make Lena the winner ! Vote for her !! kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
Lucas_From_Hell Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I'm not getting anything about that. What is it, what's it about, why should we vote for Lena and who the hell is Lena, anyway? Honestly, you have tons of better artists out there, really. If you give me the context, then I might remake my opinion, but just throwing another girl singing pop music just won't do for me.
Boberro Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Honestly IMHO Eurovision is big shit since years. Where are old good times and age of good artists? Currently it is really big one commercial crap there hehe. 2 Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
golfsierra2 Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 Well, thank you all anyway. She made it, started with her first casting show in February this year. From zero to Euro winner in four months ! Amazing ! kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
Pilotasso Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Watched some of the contest while making dinner. had to switch channel, too much ear piercing noise...damn. It used to be a good show...20 years ago. Quality went down the drain since. There isn't much of a competition, the few songs that weren't weird surely will be awarded with the most points, but heck I didnt check that out, peoples tastes also changed. .
Vekkinho Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Yes, everything seemed better twenty years ago...or we were less picky?! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Lucas_From_Hell Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I agree with Viper. You still have a lot (even more) good bands today, but the proportion is the same: say, for each good artist, you'll get 5 normal/bad ones. So, if 20 years ago you had X good artists and 5X crappy ones, now you have 5X good artists and 25X regular ones. The average decreases, but that's all. Nowadays it's easier to be heard. You have MySpace, YouTube and other websites and ways to broadcast your songs to the world. 20, 30, 40 years ago, there was no such thing. Labels were the only way of becoming an immensely popular band, most of the time. So they went for the best of the best. Techonlogy made recording easier and cheaper, so now labels can record good bands and those cheesy teenager pop artists & co. You just have more options. It's a good thing for the artists, of course... although it's a bit revolting that the concept of pop music went from U2, The Police, Michael Jackson & co. to Justin Bieber and all those Disney $%*#$ just like that... Speaking of modern artists, this guys kick some serious ass. Rock n' roll, baby! :punk:
Kuky Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 (edited) Eurovision song contest has gone to shits for mane years now... why the hell is now everyone singing in English? It's supposed to be all nations singing in their own language.. this is all same crap now Nice song by the way, I like it Edited May 30, 2010 by Kuky PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Pilotasso Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Singing in a language everybody understands increases the chances of winning, that is the belief. In the old days real artists would sing, today we only see winners of amateur talent winners of each countries singing in the contest which of course have various degrees of real talent in them, so quality has dropped. .
amalahama Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 (edited) In our actuation (Spain) a spontaneous came in and started to dance with the dancer and the singer. Awkward and funny. They had to sing again at the end of the show which didn't improve the shit with which they were expecting to win  Regards! Edited May 30, 2010 by amalahama
Pilotasso Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 well same crap here, not suprisingly we didnt get points. Congrats for the winner, whowever that was  BTW the world soccer championship is heading the same way. :) No hopes of beating England on penalties this time :D .
EtherealN Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 It's supposed to be all nations singing in their own language.. this is all same crap now "supposed to be"? According to who? I mean, I actually don't care at all about the eurovision (that scene intruder in spain was funny though). The "good old days" were even worse crap than they're putting out now in my opinion, since back then they were still trying to attach themselves to an ageing tradition that people just didn't care about anymore. I'd probably care more about eurovision if I cared for pop music, since as far as pop goes the pop at the eurovision is actually fairly good. But languages, bah. I wish everyone would just drop their native languages and decide on one. (Esperanto! :D ) Would be a lot easier to communicate with people then (and I wouldn't have to switch between three languages on a daily basis :P ), and I much prefer listening to music where I understand the lyrics. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 No hopes of beating England on penalties this time :D Ooooh, harsh !! ;) You guys are supposed to be our oldest allies - 400 years of being on the same side against everyone else (french, spanish, etc, etc).
