Hey,

With the upcoming DCS A10 (can't wait) will we have a briefing page similar to F4 ? I.E. waypoints/timings/altitude, other flight packages, armament, poss radio frequencys, alternate airfields etc etc and if so would we have the ability to print off like F4 :)

Hint: The briefing page is already there, you just have to find it ;)

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Is that the page that tells me everything that happened in the sortie?

That would be the debriefing page ;)

Well to make myself more clear, the requested feature of being able to edit weapon loadout and steering points prior to entering a mission is already in FC2/BS 1.0.2.

Thanks Cat....that was the point I was trying to make: "better, more flexible and 'open'" Mission Briefing and Debriefing functions for multiplayer.

That would be good to add. A briefing and debriefing page for multiplayer flights.

With regards to the breifing page, what I'm trying to get across is ! something in-depth such as F4 and the option of a target recon such as F4 !!

Yeah I agree there is room for improvement but the OP made it sound like it was non existant in a way hence my sarcastic response. I would also like to see both the mission planner and debrief in multiplayer.

Yes. Every round fired, but like, every unit. I think there is some way to navigate through it and decode it all, but I haven't figured it out yet.

In short, there is MASSIVE room for improvement. Falcon 4's briefing and debriefing pages are vastly superior.

Question to anyone who knows- does the debrief file output to a text file somewhere? If so, and if ED enables debriefing for multiplayer, we can just skip waiting for ED and make our own debriefing system, albeit, you would of course have to run it separately. That would still leave us without a real briefing system. I'm sorry, but a SINGLE 500x500 pixel image just doesn't cut it for a briefing map. A good briefing map needs to be scrollable, and you need to be able to edit steerpoints, maybe default loadouts, see weather conditions, show threat circles for unhidden units, that kind of stuff. (yes, I know you can have multiple images in single player, but single player sucks :) ).

Also, for DCS: BS, and also for figuring out LOS when mission editing, we really need a "profiler". Remember that little tool in LB2 that not only was a ruler but also would graphically display the height of the terrain over which the ruler's line was passing? Yea, that would be a NICE tool. All the height data is there in the ME, you just have to sample it and display it graphically. Almost seems like something quick and easy enough someone like Panzertard could throw it together in a few afternoons.

a result of a mutliplayer debriefing could be a entry into the players logbook,..to be honest, i miss this feature, as you need to write down flight hours and landings manualy after multiplayer sessions..and couldn t import to the games logbook
