This was the issue I ran into when I was planning to pursue a military pilot career back in the late 80s when I graduated from HS. Unfortunately, for me I had everything else going except the eyes. I always wonder if today a young guy has vision issues, and with the permanent correction options available, is there hope to earn you wings regardless of bad eyes in HS? Though for color blindness you may still be out of luck unless you can "learn" early to overcome the blindness to pass any related tests. I had the same deal here. I got as far as my solo cross-country, then a little thing called "higher education" stepped in and took all my money!:D But that's why we have high-fidelity simulators like DCS, right?:pilotfly: I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!" Who can say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow. -Robert Goddard "A hybrid.
