any tips on running it performace for games etc.

Aye - comin' from XP to 7 is like kool-aid vs a particularly fine Cabernet. Gamebooster is a good utility to streamline system for games.

Win7 can span across multiple monitors

Right click on the desktop, click on resolution and there is a drop down menu for multiple displays.

Asus P8Z68 V-Pro/Gen3, Intel i5 2500K @4.5, 8GB DDR3 1600, EVGA GTX 670 FTW Signature 2, Creative SB X-Fi Titanium Pro, Saitek X52 Pro, TrackIR 5.

Ah OK I misunderstood the question.

I actually use a program called ultramon to control my multi-monitor setup as it has many more options than the standard MS ones. just checked and it has an option for wallpaper span across monitors.

Just checked ultramon, it does not have the 3D app spanning. The reason I got it was mainly for quick profile switching. It's so much quicker than using windows or nvidia options. (eg I can switch my HDTV to 2nd monitor and set to 24hz with one click from the task bar.)
