CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

Thanks, Deadman!

That pdf was quite interesting and now I see the "D" type without the center lock. Apparently, the HWL website does not have the correct images for each type, the image for the "D" type is indeed the "A" version with the center lock.

When I look at the HWL prices, I think I should add another column to one of my Access DB tables: "alternate dealer"....:music_whistling:

Just one question: You say you may sell some copies of your MIP possibly. Are we talking about a completely assembled, wired up MIP? So I think we're talking about some 4-digit numbers here, right? Just a curiosity...

EDIT: Really interested to see some pics of the indicators over the weekend...!

Yes very interested, I cross-referenced several of the switches to various suppliers catalogs.

For example the CMSP Panel JTSN Switch MS21026-C231 Cross-references to a Eaton SPST 8855K7 with a "C" type locking Bushing (ON - None - |ON) Locked in the lower Keyway position, found on page A57 in their switch catalog. It is a miniature switch with a full-sized toggle.

Eaton8855StandardCap.jpgEatonC.jpgEaton8855Drawings.jpg

While the switch from Eaton may be costly, a pit-builder could use a standard miniature toggle switch and fabricate a replica locking bushing and toggle arm to fit it.

Your work will greatly aid many pit-builders in their endeavors, while they may not say it, they are grateful for the hard work you are doing, I know that I am. So keep up the great work .

Deadman,

I'm looking forward to each one of you post!

Without those infos I'd already spend a lot of money on the wrong switches.

Especially with the expensive locking switches there's a lot that can go wrong without accurate intel.

So thanks a lot!

Stefan

PS: The MS to Honeywell crossreference list is quite helpful: http://content.honeywell.com/sensing/prodinfo/environment/catalog/405.pdf

any one there interested in this obscure information ? Iam not sure if any one is even looking at this any more:huh:

Very much looking. I've been busier lately so not as much getting done, but want to compile your switch list with my "possible alternatives" list when I release my panel designs.

Steer Toggle Switch is an (on)-off-(on) w/round white plastic lever Honeywell Micro Switch 1TL48-7. Of course these are $35.00 a pop:surprise:, so get a standard SPDT (On)Off(On) and dip the lever in Plasti Dip® White :D and Presto one Imitation genuine Honeywell Switch :sly:

I have not run in to any Eaton switches. All that i have are Honeywell but what ever you find cheaper will work that fits the spec.

@avlolga Direwolf5 could very well be correct.

I don't have any of the switches or a real panel to verify or dispute his listing.

After a quick check on the Steer Toggle Switch listed I will probably look for one.

$35.00 is a lot for switches yes but there are not that many needed in the cockpit.

Thanks guys for the input:thumbup:

Well I finally found a 37 pin connector for the grip to the stick connection.

I was thinking about that too....just then I realized DM is talking about a REAL stick, right? So that one comes with more than the 5-pins we have on our TM replicas....
