Deadman Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 (edited) I have not had a chance to test the one I purchased so I have no idea. I have a limited opportunity to purchase these, and response has been one person so I will probably purchase just two more of these. Deadman Posted May 5, 2012 Author Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) Hey guys I could use a bit of help I am looking for a good picture of the manual canopy handle decals. That are on the yellow manual handles on the inside of lower front canopy when it is closed. You will see it in the attached photo off to the right of the pilots hand. I have a few more decals to lay out then i will see if i can find a company to print them as of now i think it will be an 11x 14 lay out http://www.moody.af.mil/shared/media/photodb/photos/101122-F-4408L-022.JPG Edited May 5, 2012 by Deadman https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

Deadman Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 Does any one have a recommendation for a vinyl sticker company? https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
BHawthorne Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I used to work at a label printing plant in the pre-press department. Is there anything specific you want to know about layout of labels or pre-press specs standard to the industry?
Deadman Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 Hey thanks any thing you think will help would be great. The decals are drawen out in corel draw and all most finished. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
BHawthorne Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Hey thanks any thing you think will help would be great. The decals are drawen out in corel draw and all most finished. Corel Draw should be OK since it's vector based. A thought on any solid black areas of labels. Run them rich black. 33% C, 33% M, 33% Y and 100% K. It'll keep from streaking occurring in the black solid areas. If you only did 100% on black you can get streaking and variation within solid areas. That's an old pre-press trick most pros use.
Deadman Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 thanks i will change that i am working on it know just wondering if it is better to separate the black and white from the black and yellow and the other colored decals and make several smaller sets. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
