Deadman Posted September 25, 2015 Author Posted September 25, 2015 This is a Very small niche product so there is very little demand for the replica i have designed. With out expressed demand for a modified version for the THWH I don't know if i will design it no demand no reason to build it No two people is not a demand https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Hansolo Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Guys if anyone else is interested in buying Deadman's side consoles in the version that can fit a TM WH, just let him know. Otherwise he may halt further development on that part of the project :-( DM, I am in for a set of cause. Although I just need the "standard" version for a real throttle :music_whistling: Cheers Hans 132nd Virtual Wing homepage & 132nd Virtual Wing YouTube channel My DCS-BIOS sketches & Cockpit Album
Deadman Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 HI Guys it appears that no one is interested in the modification for the WHTM throttle. I know of two people interested in the replicas. I am working on any one else I just want to know if i need to post when these are being made shortly. thanks https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Retsilf Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I have a complete different question: does anybody of you know a stepper motor for two needles? I have the vid29 which is not sufficient for the engine gauge of the A10....
Hansolo Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Try this one Peter found; http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2232679&postcount=143 Cheers Hans 132nd Virtual Wing homepage & 132nd Virtual Wing YouTube channel My DCS-BIOS sketches & Cockpit Album
Deadman Posted September 28, 2015 Author Posted September 28, 2015 With out having any information on what you plan on doing IE gearing it or just running it straight off of the steppers . Your best bet on getting good answers is a fully defined question and opening a thread on it good luck. I have a complete different question: does anybody of you know a stepper motor for two needles? Retsilf Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Thank you, Hans. In fact, I was more looking to something for the tiny little needle seen on the engine gauge
Deadman Posted September 28, 2015 Author Posted September 28, 2015 You will need a gear system look at Mike's Flight Deck .com there are some examples there. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

Deadman Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) I can't believe with the amount of A 10 throttle sold on eBay only two Guys besides me want an A10C modified right throttle grip ah well. Edited October 15, 2015 by Deadman https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
RightStuff Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I can't believe with the amount of A 10 throttle sold on eBay only two Guys besides me want an A10C modified right throttle grip ah well. Who cares about a correct grip as long as the mini-stick sucks. I'm very sure dozens of us are wanting this thingie more than a new grip... ;)
Hansolo Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 RightStuff, I think you may be referring to the mini stick on the Thrutstmaster Warthog throttle, right? This new grip is not for the TM WH throttle, it's for the old A-10A throttle which doesn't have the coolie hat, 4-way switch for radios and boat switch; http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1196549&postcount=118 Cheers Hans 132nd Virtual Wing homepage & 132nd Virtual Wing YouTube channel My DCS-BIOS sketches & Cockpit Album
Deadman Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) Thanks Hans!! I don't own a TM WH so I can't really make a thingie to fix the messed up slew. Another member had posted he would be making them at a reasonable price in large quantities. So I am not interested in making parts for the TM. Who cares about a correct grip as long as the mini-stick sucks. I'm very sure dozens of us are wanting this thingie more than a new grip... ;) Edited October 15, 2015 by Deadman https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
RightStuff Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Hans, Deadman - thx for clarifaction. Had (obviously) overseen that this is a part for the "A". Pls excuse.
Hansolo Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 No need for appologies, RightStuff :-) And yes I also dislike the slew on the TM WH :smilewink: You may want to check out Dojo (476th vFG) review on a mod for the TMWH; And http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=146073 It not going to give you a new mini stick but may impove the feel. Deadman Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 A bit of reverse engineering It would be nice to know the real Mic switch and SOI (coolie hat) switch part number but I have found some close replacements. So is it *Nice* or ...? https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
