Oh, that are the "Stickies" Thank you

exactly...

by the way...you actually will find any answer on your questions in the forums and subforums since a lot of people ask before searching...this is not ment to you now, but this takes a lot of threats which might contain respective replies...next to the usual "search before post" replies...;).

[...] sorry, this is my first time here..

[...]

I dont know how familiar you basically are with forums commonly. So if you want to search for a special thing and wont find it, go for advanced search. This provides you a lot of advanced search options, since there´re always some people around who never learn how to start threads...:smartass:

Did you, by any chance, mean threads? ;)

AFAIK ther is no official italian version of FC2. ED does not have an italian translation team, unfortunately.

Oh, that is very bad.

If i can tell you a modest suggestion, you should think at how many sells on the Italian market do you preclude to yourselves. Only in my flight' friends group there are at least 15 persons that doesn't know english; on Ivao' (Vatsim too), Fsx' and X-plane' networks there are thousand of Italian virtual flyers passionates of simulators, many of them dreaming about a nice and new "modern air combat simulator" and that doesn't speeaks english/that speaks it very bad, too much for a nice understanding of this simulation, controls and so on; really do you think that the investment for the realization of an Italian version should not be well repaied?

I know you surely have done some arguments like these but.... think about it better! :D

With modesty :)

The problem is not one of investment, it is one of translators.

DCS:A-10C and DCS:Ka-50 are both localized applications, so you are welcome to begin a translation effort for one or both.

Thank you, i don't think my english is good enough to do something like this, but i'm open to this if you need it.

I think that this is expecially an investment "problem", because to release a specific language version there are not only all the texts to translate (nor only the manual... all the in game texts) but also the speeches.

Contact me by pvt if you really would like to speak about this, we could do something great! And if there aren't investment' problems i have also friends that works as translators that i could pass to you, so we could eventually also talk about a professional and complete Italian's version.

A dream :)

Bad english is better then none at all! It's due to your dubbed TV programs :)

I lived with a few Italians a long time ago, and one were really good at it.. the other one terrible!

We went to get more booze, and the lady behing the counter asked us "are you drunk" The one with terrible english replied happily (and drunkenly) "Schomtimes"

I think that Matt Wagner (wags) might be your best bet.

You have to be aware, however, that all translation work, like testing, is strictly voluntary and not salaried. Just so you don't have wrong expectations.

I have always had performance problems with Lockon and BlackShark. I don't want to pay $60 without trying it first. To be honest I am skeptic about how well this DCS A-10 will run when I fly over a city.

I'll try the demo when it comes out and I'll see if the performance is ok.

Just to say I have a relatively good computer(quadcore 2, ati 5770, 4GB ram) so performance shouldn't have been a problem ever. I can run ARMA 2 perfectly to give you an idea.

Same here, man. I'm waiting for a free demo. A 10 day trial would be good enough. I'm sure StarFarce can do that. No way am I blindly spending $60 on this sim.

If you consider the amount of threads and videos and fan made documents detailing every aspect of this sim to be blindly spending $60, I am very sad for you.

I dropped $60 on COD4 with no demo and there was only hollywood trailers showing me what my $60 was buying. This sim release is anything but a blind purchase.

I know a lot of you that bought it "blindly" are rich by my standards, and probably many others, so the people like me will wait for a demo. I don't drop $60 blindly on anything. That's like a month's worth of food to me. When you decide you want to sell to the people like me, put out a demo, and we'll take a look at it. Since its just one big map, I suggest a timed demo. 10 days limit would be fine.

You miss the points here. ED have not released a demo in a long time (Lock On). ED are no EA with millions to throw at development. Their resources are spent better somewhere else then creating demos IMO. You have reviews, videos, forum posts, pdf manuals to help make an informed buying decision. It is not too complicated to make one with all this info.

Even demos may not represent the performance of the full product. Also, while having a product that runs efficiently and can run on an old PC is great, at the same time you cannot expect a company that is releasing a complex aircraft simulator to just not bother utilizing the latest modern technology that requires a modern PC. Technology moves on, but I sympathize with those that find it hard to upgrade their PCs.

... so how could you afford a computer?

Barely. I currently have a 2.4 ghz AMD Turion dual core and a Radeon 5400. It can play Crysis at low and Arma 2 at very low. About as much as I can afford. I would say this computer is just slightly under the average computer out there these days.

Sorry to say, without a demo, a lot of the people I talk to on the internet are not going to buy your game. We really want to see what were getting before we plunk down $60. No demo, and most people are just going to stick with Arma and Crysis. I don't see what the huge problem is. Surely, a DRM scheme as complicated as StarForce should be able to do a time limit demo with ease. And thats all were asking for.

Actually no, it isn't that easy. How do you stop someone from getting another key...and another...and another?
