Hey guys. I've ran the tutorial for the Litening, the Unguided and the JDAM's and stilllllll my CCRP fixates itself on lining up with the waypoint SPI.

Now, this is exactly what I do.

1) I make sure the JDAM is set to drop on CCRP mode, save the settings and return to the weapons screen.

2) I move my TGP crosshair over my target, zoom in, press LCONTROL+UP to set it as my new SPI.

3) Line up from a fair distance and then...oh...my CCRP tadpole thing is still fixated on the waypoint SPI and is lining me up to drop a 500lb bomb on some field.

I've ran the tutorials, watched video's numerous times and I must still be missing something painfully obvious. The diamond to show I've marked the tank is still ON the tank but my CCRP tadpole is still aimed on the waypoint's SPI.

Also, I've searched the forum and haven't yet found a single person confused about this...that's worrying.

Hard to tell with just the key press, but if he is not making it the spi then it defaults to the waypoint spi.

You are pressing LCTRL-UP LONG, not LCTRL-UP SHORT yes?

Nate

Well I've got an X52 and usually I'd assign them to the profiler buuuut it turns out the control scheme isn't so easy haha.

Hee hee, glad I'm not the only one. Trust me, it's been a bad day today trying to get this game down. Not only did my computer chair break, but I dropped a load of wheetos into my laptop while stressing out over this CCRP thing...Knowing my luck I'll get hit by a SAM missi-

Just for be sure, the default Waypoint is the default SPI...can it be called like this?

But when I want to set any other Place down there as SPI, so I´ve the possibility to slew the small Box over desired Place I want to become SPI and press (and HOLD) resp. Key combo?...Am I right?

I have somehow problems to figure out the, a bit too much copmplicated formulated explanations for SPI, in the manual.

I totally havent yet understood the meaning of SPI...Hope to be over it now.

Basically you just have to understand 3 things:

1) SPI is just a point in the world.

2) SPI can be created by one of sensors (i.e. the point, at which particular sensor looks, becomes the SPI)

3) sensors can be slaved to SPI (i.e. sensor can be automatically pointed to SPI).

In addition, aiming is done by using SPI too. If you use CCRP, fire computer will think that current SPI is target.

I believe a good way to think of it is (and I believe how its written in the manual) is that there is ALWAYS an SPI. It starts/defaults to the waypoint unless you change it with the TAD, TGP, Mav, etc.

Thank you for this explanation...So I just need a bit more time...to practice and getting a bit deeper in the manual.
