DCS A-10C: putting the 'art' into 'warthog'.

Nice^^^

What is maximum distance where you can see target?

I heard it is up to 60 km for normal camera and much less for IR :)

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

IR is a bit blurry at the moment, but you can see through the haze on the horizon, right out to max render distance. If you know where to look (targets are at waypoint, for example), you can pick them out with a little luck. Picking out targets at 20nm is easy, again, if you know where to look. ;)

Loved it.

Thanks, good to hear. :D

Let's say you know where are targets, from what distance can you see tank at maximum zoom level and does it look like a dot or you see it really good? :)

This is from a more comfortable 23nm:

And the same in FLIR WHOT/BHOT:

* At the moment FLIR works well to spot groups from a distance, but you lose ton of resolution at high magnification.

That was awesome...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Glad you like it.

looks much more detailed than the TV in Lockon series!

how is this beta version? is it buggy or not? maybe I should try out the beta version too.

This beta version is more polished than some final releases.

Define buggy? Yes, there are bugs. No, they won't keep you from enjoying it.

If you're interested in the final release, then definitely try it. Even if you should find it completely unplayable (unlikely :)), you get access to the final release as soon as it is available. Assuming you don't mind a digital copy, of course.

Great Vid Arclight!

Reminds me how much practice I need! Music was well timed and I like how you got the misses in there with the lull of the music. Great Stuff!

Great choice of music. I wish more people would do the same. The last thing we need is another poorly edited video set to "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor".

@ Viper

OMG!!! That's amazing!

74 km and such good image, that is great.

IR image is not so good it seems but is nice too.

Is that during night or day? Cause at night I think units would be more visible :)

Thanks for the compliments.

That would be daytime. The time is on the display, bottom left: 12:16.

CCD is not all that useable in low light. IR is just blurry at the moment, at max zoom it's not much more than a vague smudge, though at shorter range with only optical zoom (narrow FOV) you can pick out a fair amount of detail. There's a few such shots in the video, bot during day and night.

Wow! I didn't expect the classical to go with DCS A-10C all that well, but this is definitely better than my expectations when you stated " the music might not be to your tastes".
