I want to map landing gear and some other stuff with the pinky switch as modifier.

I have done some testing and i can't make it work. I don't want to use TARGET.

Sorry if this has already been brought up. I've done some searches, but nothing couldn't find anything regarding this issue.

I think you can do direct program the stick to set what you wan t without TARDET. If i recall the hard way is in the manual too. So RTFM.

But i think you must have valid profile too to be able to modify and rename it.

I don t own a warthog yet.

But i guess i m safe saying: Good luck pal, you gonna need it.

I believe you can do it through the DCS controls setup. There is a button for "Modifier" that lets you do it.

I don't see any joystick buttons as modifier.

The problem is that DCS sees the TM:W as two separate controllers. And the pinky is on the stick, but i want to use pinky + left throttle button for landing gear..

As i wrote, i don't wanna use target. Not in it's current state. I'm from Sweden, so if i can't write åäö i might aswell swallow my pillow and jump from my balcony.

DCS should be able to assign a modifier. After you select modifers - Click on the add button(It looks like you cant select it, but you can) - Then select your joystick in the dropdown menu, finally select your button.

I mapped my left throttle button to gear, since i already had an AP button there. Using the pinky lever for wheel break, works great.

Mapped the INCR/DECR to rudder... a little messy, but cheaper than rudder pedals! :)

I use the CMS centre button as a modifier as it is not used in the sim as far as I know. This allows you to double up every single switch on the stick/throttle for other uses, and keep the unmodified buttons as standard ;)

The CMS Centre button is used for the AN-ALQ 131 Jammer standby/operational toggle, important!

I've tried using a button modifier also without success. I remapped the trim hat to actually do the job as intended as I use a TIR for viewing.

That is ok now, however I wanted to use BTN03 as a modifier so I could use that and the trim hat to zoom in/out. Unfortunately it appears to accept it in the controls, but does nothing ingame.

I also am reluctant to use Target in it's current form as I installed it this morning and screwed up my settings so it's off now.

Head into the controls setup, and theres a modifiers button in the bottom left.

Hit this and you can select which keys you'd like to use as your modifiers. Add a new one, and press the button you'd like to use as a modifier.

Now when you set controls you can hold the modifier and it will add it to the controls.

Huh, mine wasn't mapped to anything in beta1. I thought it was a bit odd.

Cheers for the heads-up. Will be remapping that
