Ripture Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Hello all, I remember seeing videos about this some time ago and just recently, Fileplanet gave Beta 4 a spotlight. However, it seems everything requires activation. Was I mistaken in thinking it would be something playable if it was posted on Fileplanet? Is this something that requires one to have preordered the full version? I'm posting just to confirm because it seems odd to me that Fileplanet would spotlight something that required you to purchase for it to work without mentioning it somewhere in the description.
Nate--IRL-- Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Yes it requires pre-purchase of the Finished Sim in order to work/activate. It is odd that Fileplanet would do this, I guess they didn't research the product properly. Nate 1 Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading

Conure Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) It's well worth the purchase if you're vaguely interested in the subject, there is nothing like it on the market! Just for me to learn a few of the basic systems via the tutorials I've probably clocked up 40 or so hours training...One pound per hour very well spent :) Welcome btw! MrUnSavory Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Oh Great.....I downloaded a damn 4.5 gig demo just to find out I can't play it and you have to pre-purchase it. Sorry guys, I already own Blackshark and I am not paying 60 bucks just to try a demo that may not even run properly for me. Good luck on getting people to do that though :)
joey45 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 ^^ what's your specs? its a pre-purchase and the beta is a throw in. If your specs meet it it's worth it. 1 The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Purg Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Oh Great.....I downloaded a damn 4.5 gig demo just to find out I can't play it and you have to pre-purchase it. Sorry guys, I already own Blackshark and I am not paying 60 bucks just to try a demo that may not even run properly for me. Good luck on getting people to do that though :) 95% of the games I've pre-purchased in the past have been sp that I can play it on release day. This isn't a demo, it's access to a work in progress beta and the final release when it's available. My curiosity got the better of me and I bought the product 23 seconds after I was aware it was made available as a beta (bought the Russian release of BS the day I flew into Singapore for 2 months and then the English version ontop of that - I'm a sucker for anything ED releases). I'm completely speculating but this sort of move is usually to supplement the budget to ease the pressure and continue development though I have absolutely no knowledge as to this teams motives for the release. Even in its current state, it's money very well spent. I'd have been completely satisfied if this was the final release. I know ED wouldn't given their track record on their strive for excellence.. their products have caused me the *least* amount of hassles and frigging to get a stable hi-fidelity and enjoyable sim.
