Flim Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) Alright guys, what country uses the M36x2 water house connectors? I'm about to hang myself trying to find the right parts to make an extension. It is so hard to find anything metric here in the states! Edited January 14, 2011 by Flim
Krebs20 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Give me 24 hours. I have an order from motion control industry coming tomorrow. I'm taking my cougar in for them to test with. If I have luck ill get some part numbers. It's going to run in the 45 dollar range if they fit. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Flim Posted January 14, 2011 Author Posted January 14, 2011 Awesome man, let me know what you find out!
MudRat02 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 If not, we're metric and I'm pretty sure you can get those here too (Australia). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Krebs20 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I got something. It will need some machine work. Nothing too extreme. I'll post when I get home. On my phone right now. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Yomo Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) I used Gardena hose repairers, although I've used them on the Warthog as a spacer so that I can get the 10-15 degree offset on the stick. Also used a couple of them to adapt my Cougar stick to an MS FFB for use with Blackshark. try http://www.gardena.com Edited January 14, 2011 by rb05033 (JTF-1) Yomo | 55th FS JTF-1 Discord Asus Prime Z370 MB // Intel i7 8086k @ 5GHz // 32GB DDR4 3200 // RTX 2080ti // Virpil FSSB3 Lighting, Cougar Throttle with USB mod, T-50 Base + Warthog HOTAS, custom collective // Thrustmaster TPR // Vipergear v2 ICP // 3xCougar MFDs // a bunch of DIY Button Boxes // Oculus Rift
Krebs20 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 OKay Im home. As you can see its a plug for a hose connection. I got it at Ritter Technology. P/N# ROV28LCF EO TUBE PLUR P54X Both the male and female parts came as one part. Its part of a hose cap kit. A 3/4 inch hole is in the female part. Im going to have to drill out the cap and put threads into it. Im thinking of putting a 3/4 inch tap in both and running a steel tube of that size. It wont be hard to find. I will have to wait a week before I head to my parents to use the shop. More pics to come. If I can get it put together with little problems Ill think about making more. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Flim Posted January 15, 2011 Author Posted January 15, 2011 Are these parts steel? If they are, I would weld a tube right in between them!
Flim Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Okay, I found the parts.... I'm going to weld a pipe in between and see that does the trick... then off to powder coating
Thorvald Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I'm going to try these things, they look similar to the M36 ones the other fellow was using and they are metal: http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?D=910969&Ntt=910969&catalogId=10051&langId=-15&storeId=10051&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntx=mode+matchall&recN=112984&N=0&Ntk=P_PartNumber Gardena Premium 5/8 In. Krebs20 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 That's 5/8ths. I recommend you check that. The stick uses a 36x2 metric pitch on the threads. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Thorvald Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 All of the garden equipment is listed as 5/8 or 1/2, it refers to the hose size not the threads. They have the plastic ones as well so I can duplicate the other stick that was made on here using Gardena connectors. Wish they'd drop that imperial crap and stick to one system.... Grrr lol. Thorvald Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Picked them up today, worked PERFECTLY. Nice brushed metal nuts. Now to construct the rest of it! 1 System: Win10 Pro 64bit, Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 7 MB, Intel i& 8700K, Corsair H150i Pro Cooler, Corsair Vengeance LED DDR4 16GB, PNY NVidia 1070 GTX, Corsair MP500 & MP600 SSD, Soundblaster Audigy Rx, CM Mastercase H500P, Oculus Rift S, TM Warthogs.

LtFransky Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 (edited) Picked them up today, worked PERFECTLY. Nice brushed metal nuts. Now to construct the rest of it! Sorry to pull up an older thread. Damn, beat me to it. I picked up one of those today. $10 and now my nuts are nice and brushed too :) Edited March 24, 2011 by LtFransky Ours is not to reason why, but rather to do and die.
