Let me tell you something about LO argument, they are scaled fro 0-30, gear up = 0 and gear down = 30, argument executed and its over it does not keep working. That means even if I put something to gear I can animate light as 1=on, 2=off, 3=on and so on but when its 30 whatever the state will be will remain as its. Its like you close the door and move on and the door will remain closed until you again open it, you don't hold it as long as you want it closed, of-course during cyclones and hurricanes its a different case. ;)

Guys that airplane looks gorgeous; I'm working on a model myself and I really know how much work and time it takes to make a model like yours.

I'll like to do a small annotation; in case no one has done it before; don't get mad plz...

is the shape of the nose and cockpit correct? isn't supposed to have the same outline as the regular su-27? specially where the glass meets the fuselage? look at this picture:

also look at this video; can you guys see that the ailerons are different than how they are in lock on? play close attention to 1:18 only the most inner section of the flaps remains fixed it does not move for roll; it is not like it is animated in lock on

How did you make out the operation of ailerons from stills????

OK I just noticed that you actually made the flaps work like in the real jet :doh:

just looking at the video you can tell that the ailerons of flaps work different than in lock-on default model; the ailerons are divided on 3 sections; the inner section works as a flap only; the wing folding mechanism is located at the end of the first flap; after the folding mechanism it has a flaperon; at that is divided by two. The outer sections seems to drop at a lesser angle that the 2 inner sections... let me look for pictures

you can clearly see that when thee airplane with 0 flap down the most inner section doesn't move; only the reminding two sections move right after the wing folding mechanism... just how it is on your model. :doh:

Don't take me wrong; your model is great! it is that I'm a flanker crazy guy; I actually build like 12 wood models of it from the su-27 to the su-37; it takes a sharp eye to capture the shape and most importantly the look of the real thing; your model is getting there!

I also have 2 1/72 cale models and I can tell you there is no 1/72 or 1/48 scale model that have the right shape of the real jet; most of them need modifications to fix their errors; the last link is a great reference place.

@ Mikoyan: Wood models can be quite easily modified I too have made a few but its not that easy to modify in max. There is nothing in it that can run like file or sand paper but yet it requires an great effort to work on wood too.
