I have huge (several minutes with a black screen and music) loading times when the game starts and when a mission ends. A lot longer than before. Otherwise FPS is greatly increased with both TGP and MAV over a city...excellent. More eye candy too.

 

But am I the only one with those loading times ?

 

I have about 20 seconds of a blank screen in those situations, can you upload your Me.log from C:\Users\<User Name>\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Logs please?

WOW! I was out of town and out of touch for a few days... just got home, and just started downloading. Glad I came home a day early..(no work tomorrow). Kinda like Christmas.

 

I have been on board since the start of beta, and have loved every minute.. even the challenging ones. I salute the effort and commitment of the development team and really do appreciate this particular community.

Every time I try to download or use torrents, I'm prompted for a user name and password (which I enter the only one I know) and I'm un-able to download any of the items. What am I doing wrong?

Keep trying. It just means the servers etal are busy.

That basically means the servers are being pounded to hell and back. From what I've seen the load seems to have been a pretty much constant OMGWTF ever since the release. :P

Right-click, save as, and run with any torrent software. (I verified, the download link works, but the web server seems to be under heavy load as well so loading the site to find the link can be a bit wonky right now.)

That is very odd because the torrent is completely open to anybody to download. It is not restricted in anyway at all.

Go advanced > select paperclip icon > browse for file > CLICK UPLOAD > after upload complete and file appears in the window, press close and post.

El Hondo, which Torrent program do you use? Is your Firewall software blocking it?

First post here....been trying to download for the last 6 hours on uTorrent...only 2.6% downloaded...I have been averaging about 15.6 kB's...not good at all, and that is with high speed DSL service....:(

 

EDIT: I should add that I have several times were it drops down to below 10.0 kB's...

Uncertain of final

 

I have prepaid months ago and gone from initial beta through beta 4. I am downloading the final version now. Will I need my password which I have forgotten to get this final installed? Is this final version in the place of the beta 6 which I was waiting on? Please advise.

Sniper31, have you confirmed that you are not being blocked by firewalls, have ports forwarded correctly if necessary and isn't being throttled by your ISP? (Some ISP blocks standard torrent ports, if so make sure to enable random port in your torrent software.)

 

I am currently seeing several people with download speeds between one and two megabyte per second on the torrent, so it definitely is working.
