Hope for another FC2 compatibility patch

If Panzertard is right and it does take less work than before, then a patch is not so bad, but I tell you even a 2 month delay of DCS:Fighter because of a FC2 patch sucks. Gimme DCS fighter now please.

Yes, you are right. A little patience and the payoff in the long run can be better I suppose.

Many people can wait an extra 2 months or so and have something they can fly now. A DCS fighter is only going to be good when we have more then one. It will get boring real quick, I have heard many stories with DCS-BS getting boring and even heard some people taking about the A-10C

Glad to see odds are good to keep FC2 linked to DCS. Obviously, This title deserves an extra life and the best news is that it's a win-win stuff for both ED and the fans.

You know people that do not want to mix DCS and FC do not have to. You can add and remove aircraft on multiplayer correct? If you don't want to mix them just remove the FC2 aircraft and make them unselectable. That way we can all get what we want. Everyone wins. Also I am curious if ED is going to link the games eventually so that you can change from DCS A-10C to DCS KA-50 to DCS whatever without having to leave and rejoin a server. As we get more aircraft this becomes in my opinion a more serious consideration. Though my personal opinion is one should semi specialize (Helo, Ground Pounder, Air to Air Superiority). After all I think we can all agree that these are very VERY different kinds of combat. I rather be average at one thing then suck at them all. :)

What compliments the A-10C? Im sure most will say the Su25T, but maybe there is something even better. I would love to hear your opinions. Keep in mind I am not asking what aircraft you want to see next. Only what you feel is a comparable aircraft that would work well on "the other side".

Well, Su-25 definitely plays in the same arena as the A10, what would be better is the multirole fighter...nice website by the way ;) just too bad FC is not there.You're missing the ONLY PC based simulation in the world where you can have human vs human confrontation in both estearn and western modern combat aircraft in A2A and A2G simultaneously, while keeping a decent simulation level in obviously one of the best graphics environment..self explanatory I think :D

Wow, how did I miss this loooong thread? I must say I try to divide my time fairly between DCS:A-10C, DCS:BS, and FC2, not to mention a host of titles from other vendors :D

 

Honestly, FC2 is still by far my favourite game.

 

I don't need compatibility patch since I usually do not play online; but if it brings some updates to FC2, I'ld like it! (e.g. some updated 3D models, like Mi-8 etc.)
