I just got started this week with A-10C, and I must say this sim is just so much fun and so awesome it's hard to put into words. So I won't even try, but you get the picture.

I do have some complaints though. It has gotten really hard recently to choose between flying the Ka-50 or the A-10C. There is the sleep deprivation from doing and redoing training missions until late at night. And between A-10C/Ka-50/FC2/[*cough*F4AF] it is getting increasingly hard not to confuse the various HOTAS profiles. I anticipate further problems whenever the US fixed wing [edit: fighter] release comes out. Well, actually not if it means F4AF can be retired ;-)

As it is bad form to shout I won't be using caps, but if you want to you can imagine that I'm hitting caps lock just about ... now. A big thank you to ED for this fantastic sim! :clap_2:

Please please please continue to evolve the DCS series and push out new releases for a long time going forward. I would probably buy them even if I did not had the HW to run it, just to support the DCS concept.

Hahaha, me too! I kept trying to change the SOI with the throttle hat while flying Falcon 4. Confused me for a sec! :megalol:

And definitely yes: The whole DCS series is amazing! What ED have done is staggering, both in what they have accomplished with the simulations, as well as keeping the genre alive (and what a job they've done! ).

well its almost like ED are single handedly keeping flightsims going. Im holding off buying IL2 WoD untill im sure that its not another arcade sim +i never really got on with thier last game/sim heh. Microsoft flight is a long long way off. Falcon4 is pretty much a dead end.

I can count the number of decent developers (who care about thier customers) on my right hand.

Cheers to you ED for a great program.

Whoah!!!

Seriously. I had gotten pretty good with Black Shark. I mean, I could do a cold startup. I had both TouchBuddy and TouchPal going on with it. Then came A-10, and that made me change stuff. I squeezed a smaller monitor under my primary monitor, ordered some MFD's, attached them to make it look kinda like a real cockpit, then ordered a Thrustmaster Hog stick/throttle, and then, upgraded some other stuff. I had Cougar previously.

Then got way into Hog flying (mind you, this is all over a very short few months), not firing up Black Shark much at all, and now....

I am so pissed that not only have I forgotten how to operate the Shark, since I've changed HOTAS (amongst other things), I have to re-learn it again!

TIR5 is like new eyes! I can see buttons I couldn't see before. Also, I did upgrade some other stuff too, so really, it's like Christmas for me. And now, loving the chopper some more. Really, I should get paid for this!

So, struggling with re-learning BS, learning A-10(edit) , and finding time for either, is a struggle. But I love it!

Thanks DCS!

Yes.

These guys are the only PC flight simulator developers who know what they're doing. And they make military sims at that.

There are others: MS and x-plane, but ED's products stand head and shoulders above the rest.

I agree with you guys, I only bought it 2weeks ago and am having a ball. I loved xplane, but am hardly flying it right now. So much to learn. Well done DCS! and it runs very well on my 18mth old pc. And I'm finally getting the hang of the cameras!

I'm on vacation right now and I'm having DCS:DTs. Yesterday I was driving a jet boat while pretending to aqcuire a pelican with the TGP. I've got it bad!

Thanks ED for doing it for the client more than the bottom line. Great attention to detail and reusability! Can't wait to see what you do in the future.

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

Thank You ed! DCS is last hope of hc sim's (at least 70-90 era)

Maybe i can fly my fav plane (F-15E) again someday, janes F-15 is so good but it's bit too old now, so all my hope lies in ed/dcs :joystick:
