Mustang Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 I'm not at home so I cant verify by myself, but is there something newer? (like 2d/3d/opengl driver.....) No, all the components of this driver are older than the recent 11.4 Preview. But, this is an "official" driver release, and if anyone has been unlucky with 11.4 set in any way, this driver may be worth trying.

BHawthorne Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 so is there a point to install them if we have the 11.4? The point is 11.4 preview is not a release ready driver, while 11.3 is. 11.4 preview is beta quality, while 11.3 is certified for release. That is the distinction and the point. That being said, I'm sticking with 11.4 preview for now. 1

Mustang Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 (edited) Same driver as the one i posted days ago in the 11.4 thread, only thing newer about this driver is support for mobility chips http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1149403&postcount=13 edit: hmm, you might be right, there are claims that the 11.4 AMD put up yesterday is infact newer....interesting http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=341681 Edited March 30, 2011 by Mustang
BHawthorne Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 It is newer. 5x1P detection is still broken though.
