As soon as the switchover bug is gone, you can align it with the APU Gen running, just fine. Seems to be how they do IRL. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Just doesn't seem proper unless the bird is cold to jump things off. I agree, it just doesn't seem right to start on the runway. Starting the Hog up is half the fun! Absolutely! ... I was talking to the guy that couldn't be bothered to wait 4 mins, not to all in general ! :).. oh wait, it was you!! ....

Its a bit inaccurate and intrusive (fly in a straight line at a constant speed until its done), but when you have GPS its not much of an issue. On the CDU: make sure the allignment says: T=4.0 0.8 and above INS NAV READY is flashing before you press the NAV button! *Sniped :D Must type faster.. the same happens to me and i'm sure that i wait for the navigation system to align...strange... nemises Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 The CDU will display "INS NAV READY" after about 2.5 minutes, but it's not really....you must wait until the message Flashes on the CDU before it is really ready (and the timer, as above is T=4.0 0.8)
