Flashing colours in ABRIS

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to learn how to work the ABRIS system, but I haven't found anything in the manual on this weird mosaic of rapidly changing colours. Does anyone know what its function is? I arrived at it from the menu by going to the GNSS page, and then to the SYST page. Attached to this post is a screenshot of it.

I haven't the faintest clue what that is exactly myself, but I would assume it's some kind of machine-machine interface and is only displayed to show that it's working.

Its the best way to waste Time in if battle gets boring a bit.

Or if you have to wait for your wingman in MP when he was shot down by something and he now wants to kill it by himself.

If you dont want to waste virtual fuel land on a Farp or a Runway and ask for Groundpower.:)

I thought maybe it was related to terrain height and changed when it was above/below/ in line with you, but that's just a guess from my observations of it, and I don't know of any radar sensors that are used so I assume it is calculated purely from height maps in the Arbus database.

Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
