Edit: Please note this mission is setup to restart after it is complete. If you host it, just delete the last triggers in the mission where it loads the mission (wtb dedicated server....or servman..)

Hi guys, here is a mission I made for up to 6 players for MP CO-OP. It is a scripted story of a downed F-15E where you need to assist friendly forces in securing the crash site, helping with the rescue of pilot 1 and finally helping with the rescue of pilot 2.

The mission it'self is pretty straight forward, about a difficulty of medium due to low-altitude sam/aaa. There will be smoke markers and scripted sequences. You could slew your TGP back to original WP your working on to see the friendly units securing that specific area once cleared.

NOTE:

Friendly: GREEN SMOKE

Enemy: WHITE SMOKE

WP1 - Crash site, enemy forces have set up a perimeter around the down F-15E. Take them out, once clear a friendly HMMV convoy will come in to secure the crash site, stand by for orders.

WP2 - Pilot 1, intel reports the first pilot is being held hostage in one of the various buildings near WP2. The enemy has sealed off the entire block, all streets around the block are not safe. Take out all hostile threats to allow friendly CSAR Blackhawks to fly in, standby for orders.

WP3 - Repair/Rearm/Refuel here if you do not wish to make the trip back to base as this airfield is closer. Be careful to chose the right one, as the other has enemy forces.

WP4 - Intel reports Pilot 2 is located at the enemy command post. It's heavily guarded by low-altitude SAM/AAA systems. Neutralize all enemy threats.

The difficult of this mission wasn't a high priority, rather a simple, forward advancing story where multiple people can take part of that was fun. Lots of targets, tougher with 2-3 people, easy with 4-6.

Please let me know if any errors occur/things out of order, or suggestions.

I was flying this mission with the 1st VFW and we enjoyed it greatly.

there were 3-4 of us and it took us quite some time till we rescued the 1st pilot (alot of targets were guarding it, I had to play AFAC, and assign targets to the rest of us).

Target placement, and mission story are well thought. I hope to see more missions from you in the future.

Is there a low flying protection in this mission? Because sometimes thee A-10 collides with a building at about 4000 feet. Bug or feature?

You are welcome to my DCS A-10 server "Ugly Bastards".

It's from a manpad or sam, for whatever reason sometimes the logs/message say a building kills the player.

Ok, thank you.

My friends and I really enjoy your map.

I modified it a little bit, set time to 6:00 and reduced the tank quantity on last WP (hope this will reduce the break when ambush at WP2 is destroyed), hope you don't mind. You are still credited in the mission description. ;)

Played some of the this the other day, unfortunately we had to quit after starting objective two due to time constraints but it's a great mission. Certainly going to be playing it some more, cheers.

Quirk,

Love the mission, but is their a way to make the next WP activate if like 90% of enemy assets are destroyed? We were searching forever for one or two soliders in the city to try and make the game advance to the next wp?

Sure, you can make edits to it. If you want just go ahead and change some of the trigger rules.

I should probably revise the mission a little here and there but have been busy and my server pc I use had hardware problems + internet has been bad lately.

If changing the trigger rules aren't your thing, you could always modify the enemy positions to suit you. Long as you guys have fun do whatever you want with the mission just maybe change the name or something so people know it's a modified mission.

Quirk, I love your mission, I have been changing alot of things. Your mission is the inspiration for what we are doing next. A pretty intense modified mission with custom audio files and other goodies. Thanks for everything, and you will be given credit in this modified mission. Here is a quick video of a few of the sound files we have completed for the mission so far. Thanks Cobrabase, Qazm3, and others.

Mission should be completed by mid week for release. Should be pretty intense!

Good work on that mission. Been flying with 6 squad mates from Escuadron 69 here in Spain and enjoyed a lot. However, we only managed to rescue pilot 1. Hope pilot 2 is still in good condition tonight on our 2nd take.

Many thanks again!!

Enjoyed the mission, thanks. If I was to provide any constructive feedback it would be that to us it felt a little like the order of battle and unit disposition was a little 'arcadey'. It felt like endless shilkas on a close to a 1:1 ratio with tanks plonked in the middle of paddocks were everywhere. This is not something I would really expect to see in such a scenario. I personally would have prefered some tougher SAMs rather than so many Shilkas.

That said, enjoyed flying it. Thanks a lot.

Shameless 4 Year Necro:

Thank you so much for that mission. It provided perfect training grounds for some Su-25T work on the 929th over the course of last weekend and yesterday. Im currently even uploading a 30min short-edit video of my experience. More is probably to come.

I necroed because I was looking for the mission name on google and found this thread. And you guys ought to know how hyped you were on your first "successfull" MP PVE Mission.

€: My first post on these forums is a 4 year old Necro. Ive not unlearnt the ways of the Internet it seems ;)
