I am looking for a step by step for the various CCRP and GBU weapons delivery steps. So far, I've been able to grasp MAV, CANNON and CCIP deployments but the use of TGP and GBU's has me baffled at the moment.

Thanks

try that.

Be advised I like to slave TGP to HUD steer point and then scan for targets if target area is near known steerpoint, not the way this guy does it, but should be what your looking for

Not sure if this will have enough detail for you, but here is a bit of a checklist I use for GBU usage.

Thanks, I need all the reference I can get. :book:...page 5 of 7...is there more?

Other weapons -- I'm still validating that I have them right.

Thanks for making that, I just started flying A10C yesterday and I'm getting over LOMAC FC way of doing things. So far I am blown away by this sim's attention to detail. Bravo! to the team of developers.

It's situational overload for now, thanks for active pause, because my head's buried in the displays most of the time.

I'll check out the youtube vid. that's what I should have done.

Is there a way to 3rd party observe in the cockpit the AI wingmen in views? Don't know if that would be any help to watch in realtime the set up and release parameters they use.

Obvious question sorry... Have you tried the in-sim training mission? I found using it was all I needed... just kept flying it over and over until I had it figured out. That and a bit of RTFM worked well.

On third party observation - there are plenty of tracks out there you can watch also Youtube can't be beat as mentioned above.

As for my problems with CCRP, using the TGP, I was unsure if I should be using AREA mode or POINT mode. I think the biggest problem I was having was not being in level flight withing parameters to release the weapons. I would fly over the target and never get a release, even though the TGP was on the target and I was in in CCRP with GBU's.

I've watched the Youtube examples and I've had success, but I still get runs where no bomb is released. But I just need to work on it I guess.

dbeaty, are you setting your point target in the TGP as your SPI with the TMS UP LONG?

Try the General Purpose Bombs tutorial level in the sim, it covers both variants of MK82's, one CCIP and one CCRP released.

Slew a SPI on the HUD over something you want gone. Fly towards it in level flight. This point will still be there if you need another pass. Set the master mode to CCRP. High drag bombs are released when you are almost on top of the target so just fly over it like it's a waypoint. You should see a vertical line with the traditional aiming reticule at the bottom, that represents you. There will also be a second line with a dot moving downwards, representing the release point, and a countdown clock above it, indicating time to release. You need to make the release point indicator pass through the reticule. The easiest way to do that is to line up the two lines so they overlap. With 5 seconds on the clock, press and HOLD the weapon release until you can confirm the bomb is released.

I literally learned all this today so anyone can feel free to scold me and shout RTFM if I got something wrong :)

I just found that today and I see the HUD change from STP (steerpoint) on the lower left to TGP - the new source of the steering cues and bomb target with the long TMS up. That was one of my biggest problems.

Cool, glad you got it sorted out.
