I agree. Unless you're really strapped for cash, even if it's a year before you come back (to what will be an entirely new product what with new compatibility) it'll be worth owning!

I recently sold my gaming laptop and won't be playing anymore. Does anyone need to buy it still? I will sell it for $40.

Would that even work, I mean would the protection allow your serial number to be registered to a second system? Or would it just use up an activation?

It should work, provided that the transfer was done with a boxed copy. if it is an internet copy, I imagine it could still work, though the transfer would have to be brokered through ED.

It's impossible to give a purchase to another person perfectly. We recover access to accounts by validating bank card details (among other ways). Since that the original owner is always able to recover the access.

For us the only legal owner is the original one. So it's up to the customer to accept the risks.

I should tell we ask for card details only to recover lost credentials and only when there is no other ways to do it. Thereafter if you got an account with bought game from its owner as a gift and you're not going to loose its credentials, I don't see any issues. By the way even in the worst case you can ask the original owner to help you to get account access back.

Secondly we don't transfer purchases from account to account. The simplest method for, eg. a gift, is to create a special account, make a purchase on it and pass its credentials to new owner.

But I repeat, we consider the legal owner only the original one, the person who initially bought the product. Everything I wrote here are workarounds which we don't recognize officially.
