Glass or windshield/canopy may be change depending on what section might get damage. So in RL you might get a mix between old canopies/windshields and new ones and different parts manufactures.

There might be several different types and manufacturers for the same windshield.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

I have noticed if you have the canopy up and you look outside to the right or left. you will notice that there is a slightly darker tint looking thought the windscreen compared to when the canopy is open. Of couse its not Yellow, but there seems to be tinting

Several, but I do not own them.

PS

Sorry did not fully read your post.

I thought you ask if I had second hand aircraft to play with. All military aircraft are in continual upkeep, in a way the may look like second hand. The get beat up. Also, I'm not referring to the A-10 within the sim, but more toward the one on the original post

i thought the yellow tint is standard in front left and right cockpit panels.

stops glare and prevents cockpit heating up, nothing to do with replacement parts.

nice photos but a few of those are tinted too, just in the glass and not as an extra coating like in the photo I posted.

It would be nice to have the option.

No big deal, it was just an idea.....

I would just make a mod but i'm restricted by the way the cockpit glass is made.

No big deal, it was just an idea.....

I was just saying, not every aircraft will have the same one.

paulrkiii

Even our jets at Moody, assigned to the same Fighter Squadron have different windshield colors. It all comes down to manufacturer and what is available when you have to replace one....

Thank you Paul.

Good news guys! Was searching for the windshield textures and finaly i found them :pilotfly:

And this is the result :music_whistling:

now i have to find out where the borders of the left and right winfshields are to make only them yellow and get rid of that issue on the center windshield

@ paulrkiii & Nate--IRL-- : Guys, read my whole post :P

@ toby23: it's the "A-10C-glass-REFLECT.dds" file in the "A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip" wich is located in the folder "Bazar\A-10C\Model\Textures"

saved it as DX5 with interpolated alpha.

EDIT:

Ok, just finished the work. Here it is. Have fun guys.

To install just put the unpacked .dds file into the .zip wich of i was talking before edit

btw: to make the yellow windshilds more yellowish or less, just edit the alpha channel of the .dds and save the file as "DX5 with interpolated alpha". The darker the color in the alpha is, the less colored the glass will be (perfect black means completely see-through)
