Yeah so the topic was last seen in Ballarat headin east....

I was wrong, talking about the number of devices that can be connected rather than the number of hubs, guess its been too long since Ive read the stupid thing. However, five is also not a maximum, it is a theoretical worst case scenario, and as such in engineering, we can find a way to do it better, we always do. The possibility and how to achieve it is in the spec.

I dont even know that much out of it, I fell asleep pretty much every morning trying to read, understand and then devise tests for our lab. But I do believe some congratulations are in order, apparently some of our members can effectively negotiate search engines in such a way as to be perceived at or above a level of knowledge and understanding to feel empowered. Tomorrows engineers today?

/sarcasm

Nothing against anyone I just felt like being sarcastic. Im bored.

Thank you for all your help - i've found the the ThrustMaster 16000 has a trim binding already set on the stick within the game- so a little trim here and there - happy days!

once close to hands off level flying... just adjust the throttle up or down slightly to get it spot on

That, or use AP in path mode. If you have AP engage/disengage on the hotas (I use TM HOTAS Warthog) you can connect/disconnect it instantly anyhow.

But for things like aerial refueling, formation and so on, expect to make constant corrections - the key in those cases is to anticipate the needs - especially since throttle input takes a second or three to take effect.

Glad it worked out for you. Now, get used to trimming a lot. After takeoff, after each munitions drop, after major throttle settings, etc. It might seem like a pain to keep the aircraft trimmed but it pays big dividends when you're making bomb runs and it becomes second nature. You'll find yourself trimming the plane and not even realize that you're doing it.

Just in case you want to use the hardware (TrackIR) that you have, you can get another powered USB hub and "daisy chain" it to your existing USB hub.

I've actually thought of using that as a solution - but "The Wife" won't let me put anymore hardware on the dining-room table - which is where I have my "Man Cave" / Workstation) ... sad but true... :megalol:

You can't trim with just one button, at least not in the A-10.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.
