VBARhino Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Willing to put down a bit on these. I check eBay quite frequently to no real avail. Don't necessarily have to be new since I'll be re-doing the guts on them most likely.

Total Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Two sticks for sale on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suncom-F-15E-PC-Joystick-/280728305047?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item415cb5fd97 http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUNCOM-F-15E-EAGLE-Joystick-Flight-Stick-96-6630-/220823748752?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item336a1f0090 Also, if you're in the US, this may interest you: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/ele/2542134943.html
todd022 Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Those were my first love...I bought the stick and throttle combo back in 96 or something. lasted for many many years. Even with my warthog, I kind of miss 'em. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Cupra Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Is this an old version or US version? I also had one of those sets, but no software needet. All Buttons where programmable without a software. And some buttons and LED's on the right side on the sticke have been too. But its the old 15 pin MIDI-connector. So if you dont have a good audio-card with this port it will not run. And if it runs, your PC might be too fast :( DCS F-16C Blk. 40/42 :helpsmilie: Candidate - 480th VFS - Cupra | 06
Emmer Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 (edited) Not necessary. If you buy this one: http://www.manhattan-products.com/en-US/products/710-usb-game-port-adapter You can hook your Suncom SFS to your system to this adapter. You still need the keyboard pass through for programming. I use 2 keyboards;one is hanging at my system the other for the SFS. Windows 7 recognizes it as a 4 button, 4 axis joystick. You can choose from 4 different types on the adapter itself. Works perfect! Calibrating is a bit of a pain;you should take your time for it. But when thats sorted , you have dual throttle, which works perfect in FC2. For me , i had no issues installing my Suncom.Windows 7 Professional x64. Q6600, 8G DDR2-800 ram. Hope this helps some pple out. Edited September 6, 2011 by Emmer [sIGPIC]http://www.fulltimepilots.nl/Sigs/LLTM2014.jpg[/sIGPIC] http://www.fulltimepilots.nl
GGM Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Ah... sweet memories... had this system long time ago :) Actually Suncom SFS was my first and greatest HOTAS ever! [sigpic][/sigpic]
Emmer Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 (edited) And the cool part is, they still will work in Windows 7 with that USB to Gameport Adapter. So any of you who still has a Suncom SFS Combo can use it. Deadman Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Here is one not mine http://www.ebay.com/itm/SFS-Talon-and-Throttle-Suncom-F-15E-Joystick-Set-/270810407738?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f0d8ee33a https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Galvinator Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Well, I see many people enjoying their SFS throttle. Is it possible for any of you guys to help me out so that I may have a chance to understand the joy the Suncom gave? Lol. I just don't wanna lose money spent from this and since it's an F15 modeled HOTAS, all the more I want to make sure that I can use this piece! If so, do contact me on skype @Galvin_Ng or PM me! Do reply!!!! ^^
SkateZilla Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 The Suncom SFS and Talon (and the 3 other versions of it) all use GAMEPORT for Axes Functions and PS2 for Button Commands. Good Luck Getting it to work on Windows Vista, 7 or 8 without having to either completely re-wire it or buying some $50+ Adapter. Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
Galvinator Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 (edited) Oh god! Would any one know if the Rockfire RM-203 work? It's under my budget and I'm considering it. Another thing is that you said about PS2 for button controls?? Wait a minute. I have been connecting the stick to the HOTAS and from the HOTAS, I use the superjoy gameport adapter. Bul when I use it, although windows 8 recognizes it, but said gameport to USB, I get the throttle axis as button 5 and 6. 5 for the left throttle and 6 for the right. Anyone knows what I'm talking and had resolved similar problems? Thanks for the reply tho. I'm new to this old but fantastic tech. So I apologize if I seem rude or something.
