KeV Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Right guys if you're still having this problem I can think of 1 thing you can try. Because, (and I'm assuming that) you are running behind NAT and forwarding ports, it may work with some routers but not others. Some routers have UPnP which may solve the issue. What I suggest you try is log into your router and enable DMZ (de-militarized zone) point it to your servers internal IP. On that server, enable the firewall and make sure you go over the rules so it's secure, since any non-return traffic will now be forwarded to it. Set up a firewall rule specifying the DCS executable, not port numbers, and allow traffic. We run a server on a static public IP so don't have these issues. Come to think of it if your router is using a dynamic IP, that IP may change while the server is running, and that would cause it to come off the list, so a static IP is pretty much a must or you will have to restart the server every time it changes. If your router does not have a DMZ or similar setting or you don't have access to your router well then you're out of luck.
Kitharodos Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 My router supports DMZ ports are ope since 2006 and it keeps not showing servers. It used to show in A-10C some months ago but now it shows nothing in both World and A-10 www.myspace.com/kitharodos21 Intel i7 960 3.2Ghz / 6GB RAM / GTX 470 / Windows7 64bit
july865 Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend NOT to DMZ your computers lan ip. there are hundreds of people on here that do not have this issue. imo, look somewhere else for a solution and not try this. ED Team c0ff Posted October 17, 2012 ED Team Posted October 17, 2012 Not sure it's the same bug, but the fix for servers disappearing from the list after some time is to be pushed via autoupdate in a day or two. HiJack Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 That fix would be great c0ff. I have not hosted for a long time due to this problem, hope it's the right one.
ENO Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Is there any way that we can verify the server being in the list? All my computers are on the same network so they only show up on the LAN list- "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
ED Team c0ff Posted October 18, 2012 ED Team Posted October 18, 2012 Is there any way that we can verify the server being in the list? All my computers are on the same network so they only show up on the LAN list- Public servers on the same LAN should show up in the Internet server list as well. They did at some point. If they don't now, it's a bug then. 1 Dmitry S. Baikov @ Eagle Dynamics LockOn FC2 Soundtrack Remastered out NOW everywhere - https://band.link/LockOnFC2.
ENO Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Well I can't speak for others but I've tried a few different times on my setup to test it out and I can't get it to show up on the public list on my internal computer (connected through LAN). Though I joined on LAN before (it does appear there), the server doesn't show up on the history tab either. Players from the firehouse have mentioned that when connected by direct IP the mission wasn't in their history folders also. ED Team c0ff Posted November 2, 2012 ED Team Posted November 2, 2012 "in a day or two" turned out to be a bit longer because of unrelated issues. But the fix is on the way, still. Dmitry S. Baikov @ Eagle Dynamics LockOn FC2 Soundtrack Remastered out NOW everywhere - https://band.link/LockOnFC2.
