Im running it I like it. It's not a massive change but that's a good thing. Sounds good on G35 headset.

You should make a modman compatible version, just needs to be a rar or zip and inside should be matching DCS folder structure exactly.

Thanks for the input paul. Question though, does the gun shake the aircraft? Like a very strong vibration?

I'd like to be scared to pull the trigger for fear of loosing my fillings, but the feedback is just not there.

I mean the sound is great, 'IMHO most of the default sounds are top notch' but there should be more visual environmental variables you should feel like your unleashing the bowls of hell on the whole of Antarctica when you employ the GAU-8 'or so I hear'.

If anything maybe it would be cool to see the HUD shake when you fired the gun, to give you a feeling of it firing. I don't know if this is exactly what it's like when the pilot fires but here is a video

That's the HUD camera. Although I'm sure the pilot and his eyes shake IRL, you're probably seeing what the film experienced.

True, what I meant was something similar to mimic the sensation of the plane shaking from the gun being fired. Some type of visual feedback.

Oh yeah, I've asked many different pilots and they all say the same thing...jet shakes terribly and they can smell the gun gas...

Thanks.

Well that was what I tried to "simulate". People with butt kickers are reporting great success. :) Their ass shakes. Hahaha.

In my small world it's like this: Sound in a video game is not only how something sounds. It is also a gameplay element. Sound has to give the player feedback about what he is doing. So if he is firing a big gun, it should make him feel like he is firing a big gun.

So all I did was add a low frequency (ROF of the GAU8) sinus tone to the samples and that's that. :) Problem solved. Still sounds good but has more "flesh" to it than the stuff without the low end. Have you tried the engine samples yet? I have made a very simple install/deinstall system. Please take a look. :)

@Visual Feedback: Go post that stuff into DCS Suggestions thread guys? I mean I am up for a SMALL vibration. Keep in mind that a human is much more shock resistant than a camera.

Came here to post this, actually. I really like the new sounds - Even if they aren't 100% what the real thing sounds like, they help compensate for the other sensations you'd experience if you were actually hearing the real thing.

For when it goes wrong: Win10x64, GTX1080, Intel i7 @3.5 GHz, 32GB DDR3, Warthog HOTAS, Saitek combat rudder pedals, TrackIR 5 / Vive Pro, a case of Pabst, The Funk

Appreciate the understanding. :)
