jvanes Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Awesome! ... That looks great! Man, i would love to spent some cash on such panels Keep it up [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
-Ice Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I see you printed them out, cut them, and glued stuff together. Can you tell me what material did you print them out on? Is that regular photo paper (glossy)? Also can you tell me what material did you glue them to? Thanks! - Ice
reactorone Posted November 9, 2011 Author Posted November 9, 2011 I print it on a large professional printer (it's my job), then the print is laminated mat. The adhesive used was 3M Comply 40-10. The equipment used for the panels are PVC (Forex) 3mm and 2mm. Hoping you have been informed. Regards, ReactorOne
-Ice Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Let me be sure I got this right: 1. You printed it on a large sheet, then laminated the cut-outs 2. You used 3M Comply 40-10 to glue it 3. You glued the cut-outs to a PVC (Forex) panel Is that correct? What is a PVC (Forex) panel? Any other name for it? Where do you buy it from (stationery store? hobby store? hardware store?)? Is that different from foam board? Thanks for your help! - Ice

Direwolf5 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I believe that here in the states we call that Plexiglass, it is also referred to as cast acrylic. Check here http://rplastics.com/
reactorone Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 Hi, Updated with the "KY-58 Secure Voice Control Panel" Panel, see my first thread for download the file. -Ice >> 1. You printed it on a large sheet, then laminated the cut-outs 2. You used 3M Comply 40-10 to glue it 3. You glued the cut-outs to a PVC (Forex) panel Not the forex is not plexiglass. I found this link in England for forex that I use is the same: http://www.thyssenkruppmaterials.co.uk/tgl/pvc-foam-forex-classic.html 1 - I print on 3M 40-10 Comply adhesive, and laminated mat that digital printing. 2 - I cut each printed file and I glue on the PVC. 3 - I cut each PVC in exactly the impression the panel. I would have to do a little tutorial ... but my English is very bad ... :( Regards, ReactorOne
Swaty Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Reactorone, I have just try your idea. The materials are those I had already (not very suitable!) but the outcome is more than satisfiable (for me)! I spent less than two hours for this! Thank you again!! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Pit
avlolga Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Ice, check this link- how . The PVC in film is not transparent.

Beautiful! you used my file to make your panel? I hate to see more. Regards, ReactorOne
Swaty Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Yes! Your file and the tutorial at C6! I would to ask if UHF Radio Control Panel is functional or a print? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Pit
reactorone Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) Hi Swaty, I'm glad you used my files. You should paint it matte black all white slices of your panel, even the holes or pass switches. It will make it much better. UHF radio control panel is functional, but only the knobs and switches associated with an electronic card of your choice (IOCards, XKEY etc. ...). The digital display is a digital printing, but you can put in place a display. Regards, ReactorOne Edited November 11, 2011 by reactorone
Swaty Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Yes, I notice that after finish!lol Next panel will be better! This was a good test! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Pit
