PeterP Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 (edited) Hassata, Maybe observing this thread will help you to allocate the culprit in your set-up. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1341865#post1341865 Edited November 30, 2011 by PeterP
topol-m Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 I saw some guys complaining from aircraft navigation lights having an impact on FPS in 1.1.1.0, unfortunately I can't find the thread. I'm using 1.1.0.9 but anyways how can I turn them off, for the sake of testing different performance tweaks? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Spetz Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 :) With the little switchy things on the right console?
topol-m Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 (edited) :) With the little switchy things on the right console? hehe I meant disable them on all aircraft not just turning them off on mine :D It may pose a slight danger when flying at night, the thing is someone mentioned the AI is turning them on during the day sometimes, so disabling them permanently is an option I'd try to see if this will save some FPS. Not 100% sure about this, but if you look into your options.lua for line 39 ["haze"] = 1, change it to 0 and it might disable those effects. edit - oh also line 45 ["lights"] = 2, try experimenting with different values.
topol-m Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 Thanks Mustang, will try different values to see which one works. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
diveplane Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 (edited) setting lights to 1, will disables all aircraft landing taxi light beams ingame. haze removal will give u some frame rate lift, but i think breaks some graphics ingame = overcast clouds. ALDEGA Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Dynamic lights have a noticeable impact on performance so try the trick in the previous post.
lawndartleo Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Sorry for digging up an old thread but this one seems appropriate for the question.... The ONLY thing that beats up my frame rate is the use of CBU's. I recall there being some particle tweak that helped. To be sure, it's probably all the smoke generated by the dozens of submunition explosions.... but how to mediate the effect? Thanks in advance.
