I saw some guys complaining from aircraft navigation lights having an impact on FPS in 1.1.1.0, unfortunately I can't find the thread. I'm using 1.1.0.9 but anyways how can I turn them off, for the sake of testing different performance tweaks?

:) With the little switchy things on the right console?

hehe I meant disable them on all aircraft not just turning them off on mine :D It may pose a slight danger when flying at night, the thing is someone mentioned the AI is turning them on during the day sometimes, so disabling them permanently is an option I'd try to see if this will save some FPS.

Not 100% sure about this, but if you look into your options.lua for line 39 ["haze"] = 1, change it to 0 and it might disable those effects.

edit - oh also line 45 ["lights"] = 2, try experimenting with different values.

Sorry for digging up an old thread but this one seems appropriate for the question....

The ONLY thing that beats up my frame rate is the use of CBU's. I recall there being some particle tweak that helped. To be sure, it's probably all the smoke generated by the dozens of submunition explosions.... but how to mediate the effect? Thanks in advance.
