Slayer Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Anyone have an Obutto and the new Saitek pro combat pedals? I have an obutto and am worried they wont fit on the pedal tray. Can't seem to locate any dimensions of the pedals on Saiteks site. I dont really want to spend $200.00 to find out they are too big..... GlobalAviator Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I have both the obutto and saitek combat pedals and unless you plan on doing some welding it will not work out. It is a chore just to get the pedals in place let alone any movement. Slayer, these pedals are very wide as well as tall (the toe brakes stand high even while angled at their lowest settings). This is really ashame because the pedals truly are excellent.
Flim Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Actually they will work.... I tested placement the other night. You need to mount the plate on the very front bar and then place the pedals back in between the gaps. You will have just enough room for pedal movement. Now, you might not like them being close to you and they cannot be adjusted.
Slayer Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Nice to know. I currently have my G940 plugged in just to use the pedals...its a bit overkill. I think Ill give it a try even if I have to do some modding. I guess if I hate it there will be some combat pedals on ebay. GlobalAviator Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Flim, can you please explain how you have the base plate from the obutto set up. I only see 2 pre-drilled slots for the crossbar and regardless of how it is set I am unable to achieve full deflection.
Flim Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 The front edge of the floor plate slips in front of the main frame.... then I adjusted the pedals where they can move.

VampireNZ Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) The front edge of the floor plate slips in front of the main frame.... then I adjusted the pedals where they can move. You wouldn't have any pics of this pedal setup would you? I have the Obutto Ozone and just got some Combat Pedals - and there is no way at all they will fit in the space at the front betweeen the struts and still allow full pedal travel, no matter how the pedals are angled. The only solution I can see is to remove the brake pedals (anyone know how to fully remove these) - or to cut them shorter, as there is room for just the foot bar to move fully in the space. EDIT: Success! I just did what any good man does when faced with a mechanical problem - applied more force! The black adjustment-knob screw thingies on each end of the pedal, when fully loosened can be totally removed by just pulling hard enough! This enables the removal of the brake pedal entirely, (mostly fly helis with no wheel brakes, and wheel brake can be programmed to pinkie trigger lever on Warthog HOTAS for the A-10), and just leaves the foot bar with no ends at all. I will cut some small circles out of aluminium tape to cover the holes, and we are good to go. Be advised that there is a little kind of 'one-way' plastic tab holding those bolt assemblies in, and pulling them out may break these little plastic tabs (I broke 2 out of 4), but they are only there to stop the bolts falling out and don't ruin anything re-fitting wise...these allen-key head bolts are screwed in finally after rotating pedals to desired angle, so no biggie. Just posted here for anyone else who might have the same problem - Saitek Combat Pedal brake plates can be removed from the pedals. Edited November 4, 2013 by VampireNZ Vampire
