Multiplayer host crashes

Hi,

 

we have a single server for two sim host: BS2 and A10-C, running on different port . Everithing runs well in the missions, but we are experiencing a problem with the "load mission" option of Servman: it crashes the host that load a mission every time.

 

Any suggestion? :cry:

ServMan works very well with 1.1.0.8, the mod is not updated for the latest versions of A10C/Ka-50

Yes, but is there a workaround? Maybe another way to pause/unpause the mission? I prepared a script series for SLmod - POS that replace the existing load mission option, but I do not have solution to remove the servman since I can't get a secondary way to use pause/unpause

You can try to run a mission vote...or waiting an update by Panzertard

Mission vote crashes the server as well...at least on my DS..

Panzertard has not been active in this forum since august last year. I guess someone else must pick up the scripts and debug this to get it sorted out.

I changed the mission and restart the server via chat console and the server has not crashed...maybe this is the solution

I did that just after installing, no joy. Also tried without, no joy. :(

 

I now have my server running maps all the time but you must set all missions to not let players view other that cockpit. Any external view of missiles and stuff exploding kills the server.

 

Over to servman. There is clear ERRORS produced by servman. just run a server and do a voting of a new map. CTD.

 

 

AND the server dissapears from master list but is up and running, just use IP. But that do not bring players to tha table. Sorry for this but server code and master server code is bad.

Sorry mate this is not a solution, this is a MUST DO and a standard for using Servman. Same for F10 view.

thanks heater for take a look. I think this work if you do in the dedicated server chat (HOST). but if you want to change a mission like client, the server crash.:(

 

Anyway I have 3drender=False and it doesn't work

We will just have to wait and be a little patient that the 51 mustang, Combined Arms and EDGE won't get in the way of the 'next' patch to address the poor stability of MP, right now. We wait and see.

 

I'm being flippant, forgive me. They'll get there, i`m sure.

Strange. Taking a good look through the DCS Log, you can see // instead of / when referring to Path statements. Clearly, not a 'legal' path statement.

I'm wondering if actually this isn't correct if the 3D engine is turned off via the graphics.cfg, despite the fact that it looks incorrect, ie the path statement.

 

I'm no programmer though. Anyone shed any light?

Tyger i think this error could be occuring because maz-6303 is missing from the Bazar/Liveries folder, you know, trying to mount something thats not present.

Just checked the Liveries folder, and all of those entries are pointing to obsolete/removed files, see for yourself.

I highly doubt it. It's just like Mustang said, they're old files. ED's got testing messages and "errors" all through dcs.log, and it's been that way since day 1 (that I started looking, at least). Typically, they are all nothing you should be worrying about. ED didn't really intend users to go through dcs.log and find problems- that's for them, really. So there is little incentive to remove old testing messages or error messages, as they know what to, and what not to, ignore.
