Amazing aircraft graphics but as you can see crapy gorund textures even though they look photo realistic from high up. This realy shows the limitations of game consoles on having so litle memory. I bet both games are completely arcade as usual too.

third to last one looks pretty damn awesome http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/206/929256_20050726_screen001.jpg ...buti agree about the graphics completly..photorealistic but the res of the ground is pretty bad, airfields dont look that bad but those mountains need alot of work..

Ace Combat is for the PS2.

And I think developers will be able to do Lomac graphics for the Xbox 360 if they use it right. One its has a 20Gb hard drive to load all the ground textures. Plus the 360 has 512Mb RAM. The potential is there. Could be a fun blast on Live.

The avergae console gamer doesnt want full-on realism -- learning a few hundred keystrokes/combinations, for example to launch a AIM-7 he will definitley not wanna do that in a console game. Its for maass market. They will probably seel as many units of acecombat in one day as all of lomac in the past >2,5 years :icon_roll .

My friend has Ace Combat something for the PS2. And he has a HOTAS that looks exactly like the X45 but a few HATS are different.

Its still gay though.

Ha!

I remember playing ACE5 this year, It was funny loading out with 99 lag-pursuit-flying a2a missiles and some 'special weapons'
