Hi everyone!

I've been wanting to buy a HOTAS system, so I could play all the DCS goodies ED can throw at me. I've been going with the G940 until I've seen complaints about the "reverse bug" which makes fine tuning impossible and of course aligning your reticule with your enemy hard :)

So I'm asking if anyone knows if this has been fixed and if anyone who uses a G940 to play DCS titles has the problem?

Also, which HOTAS apart from the TM Warthog do you guys suggest as an alternative to the G940.

Thanks!

AFAIK no the reversal bug has not been fixed, and Logitech have pretty much left the building in that one. I don't think it would be much of a problem for combat personally, although the rudder does suffer quite a bit. But keep in mind the are other sticks out there which don't suffer from this affliction, snort snort. ;)

Yeah, after posting this post, I did my research on the G940 and came to the conclussion, that I could be happy with the G940 only if I modded it with the BU0836 mod. And I'm not comfortable with doing that since I'm not much of a handy guy :)

I'd rather spend 50€ more and get a TM Warthog and eventually get rudder pedals later.

And that's what I'm probably going to do.

It is a shame though the Logitech would probably be the best HOTAS for the price if they took care of the problems.

^^ indeed.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I use G940 and I've had no problems with my stick whatsoever. I use it for DCS and BMS. I am using the latest firmware which I know is old, but I love my HOTAS. Maybe I'm the only.

You are not only, i love my G940 too

Reverse bug is still there in rudes and throtle but i can live with it. I like G940 lot more than my ex-X52pro setup. And forces in falcon Bms are great, almost great as in rise of flight :joystick:

Stop guys or I won't buy the TM Hotas Warthog + Saitek pro flight rudder pedals and will go for the G940 which is considerably cheaper :)

Yeah, I belive the stick is awesome. The only true reason that I don't want to buy the G940 is the fact, that some people aren't satisfied with it and Logitech doesn't want to do anything about it, even though I think they could.

Though I know that the people making all the fuss are very few in numbers, depends on what you expect to get I guess. Some want more and some are happy with what it offers.

I did own a Logitech G940 and was happy with it. The reversal bug was not a problem for me. Then I bought the Warthog for DCS: A-10C and never looked back. if you're on a budget buy the G940 and don't ever touch a Warthog would be my advice. If not go with the Warthog.

I have the G940! my third one! and I still halve 15 months of warranty so as soon as my warranty is over and it breaks again I will by the TM warthog!

maybe I will even buy the TM warthog before then and just use the rudder until there is a better one
