I'm perfectly fine with not having gazillion of switches to mess with on cold startup. I'm also perfectly fine with not 100% modelling of radar or weapons/missile systems. That's fine. I really enjoy this sim.

What I'm not fine with and what is a real, IMO, immersion killer, are the landings which are too forgiving ie. scripted. Once you touch the runway with one or two wheels, banked to the side or straight..it ends always the same: you get "glued" to the runway and that's it.

I know it would mean possibly introducing AFM for all aircrafts but..at least tweaking it a bit would make a difference. If this issue was to be addressed in FC3, I would buy it in a heartbeat as I enjoy doing practice landings a lot.

Thanks.

Agreed. Landings is one of my favorites things to do in the A-10C because you can really tell when it is or isn't right.;)

+1 for this.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

T'was sad indeed when I realized two days in that landings in Lock On: Modern Air Combat were scripted.

Same for Su33 and Kuznetsov

F18 in FSX is really awesome

I didn't mind so much with carrier landings because there seemed to be hardly anytime for the script to take over before slamming onto the deck.

Especially with Javiers carrier. Really adds immersion.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Sounds like you don't fly the Su-25/T at all ;) The way it lands is actually what gives the amazing feeling of flight physics.
