I don't currently own a joystick. I know you will all be up in arms about how I'm not playing the game the way it was meant to be played, and that you can't have a flight sim with a mouse, etc.

But the fact is, I played the original Lock On for many enjoyable hours with a mouse, and was able to carry out ground attack with a high degree of precision. In DCS World, however, the Axis section of the control menu only has entries for camera control. Is there any way, through patch or mod, to control the pitch and yaw of the plane with the mouse axes, and use the keyboard for the camera?

I won't be able to get my hands on a joystick for some time now, and besides I want to be able to play on my laptop when I'm traveling. Has this series not supported mouse controls since LOMAC or something?

With the flight model used I would imagine flying a DCS aircraft with the mouse would be rather difficult but then some have flown A-10 with only the keyboard.

Is the FC2 Su-25 really that more difficult than the LOMAC Su-25?

I shudder at the though of using the keyboard, although it was sometimes necessary for maneuvers like Immelmanns.

Edit: Thanks in advance, Nate.

Simple get a $9 joystick until you know you will enjoy this hobby, save up for an X-52 and then save up for the next Thrustmaster.

I use the mouse for clicking things in the cockpit...

An old response but a good one,

The mouse is mapped to view in the SU-25T. would be greatly appreciated someone can advise how there is a way to fix this so I can use it in the cockpit.

Thanks in advance.

Exactly the same as for the Ka-50.. The ablility to click on the switches instead of viewing around the cockpit.

Not in an FC aircraft you aren't. There is nothing to click.

Yes but you can still get the cursor, even if there's nothing to switch right? With the alt+C command. Am I wrong?

To answer the OP, it could be possible by editing manually the lua files in your saved games folder. That is the mouse.lua, there's 3 lines with the axis, give it a try by replacing the camera control by the aircraft controls ones?
