Ramstein Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I am Curious about PC performance with P-51D Beta, and if other had the same performance, better worse?? first of all, my computer is not new and fast, but i fly IL-2 1946, IL-2 COD, Black Shark 2, Warthog, P-51 Beta, etc..etc.. Win7 x64 MSI P7n Nvidia Motherboard with core2duo e7500 2.93 ghz cpu PNY Nvidia GTX 460 video card 1gb ram 500 gb hard drive space total.. 650 watt power supply HP 7 port self powered usb hub 4 gb ddr2 ram lcd hdtv with hdmi connector.. Saitek X52 pro and pedals. Online play: i Have a new 'N' series cable modem/router with RoadRunner cable ISP with Turbo speed.. etc.. so it's just ok... in P-51D beta, it seems to run smooth if it's only a couple planes and a few ground objects.. but if I add logic, more planes, ai, etc.. I start getting lots of pauses. Are others having lots of pauses with missions when there are lots of ai, ground objects, etc.. ?? I get some pauses now and then, got a feeling it's the drivers for my card because the card is a 2gb 6950 and is more than fast enough to handle this game, I also have 8gb of Ripjaw 1600 and a 955x4 Black Edition CPU with an OCZ SSD. Either that or it's the game. mmaruda Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Make sure you turn off any power saving for the card (windows settings and drivers). The weak point here is the CPU - from my experience AMD doesn't handle DCS half as good as intel.

The addition of units specially in the vicinity of your location will demand more resources. But as soon as they're taken out, the map returns normal. Try A-10C Senaki campaign mission 5 or 6 don't remember, and its correct. My lappy is par with your desktop. i5 here 2.4~2.9GHz. Ram upped to 8Gigs. 500GB drive (no SSD). Ramstein Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 it just seems when i get a pause.. it's just about in the middle of a take-off.... or landing,,,, and I think, why now!! why now!! nooooooooooooo  ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR
msalama Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Bear in mind that DCSW is still beta and will thus most likely see some code optimization as it matures ;) The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Ali Fish Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 im getting the pauses and i believe its associated to somthing in the scenery. if i f11 and look about the airfields and spin the camera around i get pauses and its the same in the aircraft when turning , i also notice that if i take view 360 of the scenery fully at the start it seems to minimise the pauses later on when in flight. i7 950 (3ghz, 3 gig main ram, and gforce 670 2gigram [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Bearcat Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I am running a Fx-60 with 4G or DDR 400 ram on a GTX 260 on XP-64... Not a very new rig at all .. I am running on low settings but I haven't choked yet although I have only a few hours of stick time so far and that with not a lot of stuff going on. I am getting 20-28 fps on average... Suchacz Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I have exactly the same FPS in DCS:World - Black Shark as in BS2 (in my case, somebody may have different experience) So no progress :( But no progress is better than negative progress :smilewink: See also: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1357526&postcount=1 - "Edit 3: ...But I can tell you, that there is no difference between new and old Black Shark" Per aspera ad astra!
