Corrigan Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Wasn't sure whether I should post this in this section or in In-out, but anyway: I just got my TM Hog today, and I'm trying to sett the view zoom to the fake friction slider on the right of the throttles. Can someone explain to me how to do this? (Preferably without using TARGET.) I've read a few threads on this but I can't get it to work. Thanks! Rusty_M Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Go into A-10 sim (or game depending on which you play), choose axis commands, click on zoom view at the bottom on Warthog throttle and wiggle that friction slider. The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine! http://www.twitch.tv/rusty_the_robot https://www.youtube.com/user/RustyRobotGaming
Corrigan Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 Thanks, that was it! Now a new, related, small problem: at some levels of zoom, the camera jitters back and forward slightly. Anybody else had this? Win10 x64 | SSDs | i5 2500K @ 4.4 GHz | 16 GB RAM | GTX 970 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek pedals | TIR5
PeterP Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) go this path: >>> TM Warthod Throttle slider as Zoom Flickers and - off course - pay special attention to my posting, as I show some workarounds. and also have a look at this , because it heavily relates and give you insight about the "why": >>> K-14 Range axis spikes like crazy ...potentiometers are not always up to the task (50ties technology...)... - we have to wait probably some years that the joystick producers spend about 1 dollar more for each axis , so they will use hall-sensors for all axis inputs! joey45 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Congrats on your new toy/baby.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Corrigan Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 Cheers! The workmanship/build quality is outstanding. Win10 x64 | SSDs | i5 2500K @ 4.4 GHz | 16 GB RAM | GTX 970 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek pedals | TIR5
Corrigan Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Bump! I've found through some Googeling that the jitters actually go away if you set the LED brightness to either full or off! 1 Win10 x64 | SSDs | i5 2500K @ 4.4 GHz | 16 GB RAM | GTX 970 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek pedals | TIR5
Rusty_M Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Thanks for that Corrigan. That's utterly bizzare. The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine! http://www.twitch.tv/rusty_the_robot https://www.youtube.com/user/RustyRobotGaming
Corrigan Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 It is rather strange, yes. I'm glad I read about it, it's quite a big deal for me to be able to use the full continuous spectrum of zoom, rather than Peter's (clever) hotfix. Corrigan Posted August 16, 2012 Author Posted August 16, 2012 Bump! I've found through some Googeling that the jitters actually go away if you set the LED brightness to either full or off! So I suspect this isn't common knowledge yet, and it should be, so bump! Win10 x64 | SSDs | i5 2500K @ 4.4 GHz | 16 GB RAM | GTX 970 | TM Warthog HOTAS | Saitek pedals | TIR5
macedk Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 So I suspect this isn't common knowledge yet, and it should be, so bump! I can confirm that full led brightness works on the jitters.
