Okay make sure you are flying at night, with NVGs on, set the TGP to both then laze something out infront of you. Should work.

You have to push the lase button (same as NWS) and then you'll be able to see it with your night vision goggles enabled.

Still doesn't seem to be working. Keep in mind I'm trying on DCS world so that might have something to do with it?

Anyway, what I do is this:

1. turn targeting pod to AG mode

2. set to white hot

3. lock up something in point mode

4. set laser to both/ir

5. turn on night vision

still no IR lase?

I tried making an SPI with the targeting pod and that didn't work either.

Is your laser firing on the TGP: "L" blinking. If not then the laser isn't firing. I did a quick mission and had no problem getting it to work. Make sure you have the TGP in area or point track b/c it won't fire otherwise. Also press and hold the NWS button: not a single click.

What button is the NWS button?

I tried holding down the button on one of the screens to both and it just told me one of the buttons was stuck in a blinking message on the screen.

Also no blinking L.....just a regular L.

It is the Ins button by default.

You will see a blinking L in the hud.

As stated above, you do need to turn the laser on to be able to see it. With NVGs activated and looking out your cockpit at the tgp, you should be able to see the pointer. Make sure the target you are lasing is actually out in front of you (and to the right if your tgp is on right wing), otherwise the tgp might be pointing under or behind you. Might also want to fly about 5K feet, that way the beam will be more in front than below.

Thats your issue then. You don't want to hold onto the both OSB button. The laser is tied to the NWS button on the flight stick. The button while you have WOW (weight on wheels) turns the NWS of the aircraft on and off. But... while in flight the NWS button fires the TGP's laser. You can go into controls and then A-10c sim then hotas and find "HOTAS Nose Wheel Steering" and program the function to a button on your stick or just use the keyboard: press and hold the "insert" key.

Latch On/Off - OSB8.

just to add to that. goto CNTL (osb 1) then you will see "Latch OFF" on the right side of the MFD (OSB # 8 ). Turn that to on. A single click will turn on and off the laser.

is that what that laser scan button does?

Yes, and don't use unless requested to, as it would move your tgp view away from the target and you would have to search for it again.

Awesome...Thank guys. The Ins button worked like a charm. Anyway to keep it on rather than having to hold the button down?

Look for the Latch option somewhere in the TGP MFD options and turn it on.

It's not an 'L'.

If you are in Both mode then it is a 'B' and if you are in just IR Pointer mode it is a 'P'.

If you are showing an 'L', flashing or not, you won't be able to see the IR Pointer when you press the Nose Wheel Steering/Laser button (Ins).

You will not be able to 'see' the IR Pointer in the TGP, if you were expecting to. You will only see the IR Pointer when the mode is Both or Pointer, and then only at night with the NVGs on - the beam will originate at the TGP and beam to the pointed to spot.
