The two simulation developers I'd love to be included in DCS World are VRS and A2A Simulations. Both have a proven track record developing Highly Detailed Aircraft with high fidelity systems.Im still holding on to some hope they come on board:thumbup:

You going to pay to fly a trainer?

Any plane can be a "trainer" :) But I understand what you're saying. Having a plane specifically designed to train pilots kind of defeats the purpose of a combat simulator that sucks away hours and hours during the week. :smilewink:

Last time I played BF2 (years ago) the AI in the front seat aof the helicopters killed all he was presentetd to :) Worked fine and I'm confident that ED will solve this to the best of the AI engine's abilities.

Yeah, normally I would be all for a trainer, but the reasons a real military would use such aircraft don't really apply here. We have infinite amounts of perfectly maintained, fueled, and 100% operable frontline fighters which we really could care less whether they crash or not.

However, just because I would not use one in-game for any training purposes does not mean that I would not enjoy flying one simply for the sake of flying it.

If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

In the case of DCS world, the training jet might be more for training the devs on how to get the aircraft into the game and functioning up to DCS levels, the fact that they would offer to make it available to us if we want it becomes just a bonus, one which we can choose to take advantage of or not :)
