I was miraculously able to play a solid hour and a half or so earlier this evening without crashing or being disconnected. Changing my connection speed in-game to ADSL 1024 seemed to solve the connectivity problem, as I stated previously. It may be the case that the host and other clients were also set the same way, but I can't guarantee that. My crash problem was resolved with the fixes in this thread.

I had ADSL 1024 and my clients too - disconnections occured :(

Indeed, I suspect this is not really so much a fix as a workaround for one particular case. I would not be surprised to see my connection be unstable on a different server, for example.

I have the same problem and already tried to join different servers. A few minutes after i joined a server i will be disconnected with the message "connection interrupted".

Today I played quick round on PVI server. Was nice till mission changed.

Then I had to reconnect 4 times before I just gave up. Interesingly in one time all RED team (or most of 6-8 people) were disconnected at once.

More logfiles.

This happened while at least 7 pilots were flying on the server tonight.

I fired up multiplayer and was able to retrieve to masterserverlist, only to see that the 74th server was not in the list, but 7 players were flying on it at the time.

I then backed out and started copying the logfiles from server and my client.

After that, I decided to try and connect to the server through direct-ip but it crashed after I logged in and before it showed the masterserverlist. I then collected the log-files from server and client again.

All missions in PVI server have FOG OF WAR DISABLED, and every client have to set LAN in network options . But when mission changes the server crashes... May be it depends on SERVMAN....

Hmm in my case all was OK till mission change - then I lost connection many times but I didn't notice server crash during mission reload, interesting.

 

Other time on WarGameLabs.com server when I moved units, ping increased rapidly and kicked me many times. I thought particular units don't affect ping as they are treated as one group.

The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

I got few times in a row just after clicking "join" button, but after while I connected... and was disconnected after 5 minutes lol.

 

But mostly disconnects happen during the mission.

I think the issue with the group activate causes players who join to get disconnected about 2-3 minutes after the mission starts up.

 

If your getting connected error as you join, that's usually a password issue.

New logs,

server was not in masterserverlist, nobody was on the server, could ping the server but could not join by using "Connect by IP". Always received a "connection interupted." Funny thing is that the server restarted the mission (servman is active) each time I tried to connect but I would always get "connection interupted". It even created a track-file for each attempt.

So here are the serverlogs from when I first found the server, and the serverlogs after I've tried to connect to it by "Connect by IP"

Just after you are connected to the master server hit the "new search" quickly multiple times, that solved it for me. After this hint I'm able to see the whole server list, even if I can't see more then 0-10 servers after the first connection to the MS.

Okay some good data again.

This time I got a "Connection interupted" while I was flying on the server alone. 41 seconds after taking off it happened. Went into teamviewer to see server is still iup and running. Extracted the serverlogs without stopping the server and zipped up my clientlogs.

We were able to reconnect to the server without having to restart anything.

 

Btw, I hope I'm not cheering too soon, but I noticed our server did not drop from the masterserverlist in the past 24 hours. Is that because it's being fiddled with or is it just coïncidence ? I'm hoping for the first of course.

More logs.

"Connection interupted" after flying around in a KA50 a little bit and then switching over to SU25T. Crashed while I had the new load-out screen up before starting electricity or engines. Accidentily restarted my client session before backing up the logs, so I'll only submit the old log. Server did not crash and could be logged onto and entered afterwards.

Hi,

got a "connection interrupted" last flying on our UK-based server. Two other pilots, one from the UK and one from Canada, had no connection issues and could continue their flying.

No CA-slots. Mission was "Clear Tvarkcheli", adapted for multiplayer.
