L0op8ack Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 (edited) 1 hour A10-C(DCS Module 1.1.2.1) online flight in DCS World create a dcs.log file , 2G size. I thought they are something like debug messages, but it's NOT. Most of lines are 'TRANSPORT : blah blah' Edited July 10, 2012 by L0op8ack
Sceptre Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 That's strange, because I have over 60 hours on the A-10C in DCS World and dcs.log is only about 200 KB. RTX 2070 8GB | 32GB DDR4 2666 RAM | AMD Ryzen 5 3600 4.2Ghz | Asrock X570 | CH Fighterstick/Pro Throttle | TM MFDs | TrackIR 5
L0op8ack Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 I mean the A10C module for DCS world, not the standlone "A10C warthog".

L0op8ack Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 (edited) Yes. client mode. Flying 1 hour online and check X:\Users\Administrator\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log again, 953,987,327 bytes. The standlone "DCS A10C warthog" does not create huge log files. Messages like follow lines repeat again and again in dcs.log, what does this message stand for? confusing... 05024.921 INFO TRANSPORT: wNetObj::posUpdate predStep:238696; posStep:238696; 05024.921 INFO TRANSPORT: wNetObj::nextStep posStep: 238695; 05024.922 WARNING LOG: 10 duplicate message(s) skipped. RagnarDa Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 +1 I checked my dcs.log and it was 235mb. Mostly "TRANSPORT [...]" messages. I've logged 23 hours (!?) in the Toad and 30 mins in the Shark though. DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.
Aries Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I had it to 2GB once too... weird stuff... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
Supersheep Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 This is interesting for me because I am on an SSD. Are the logs so big while the sim is running and shrinked (->shrunk??) on exit or are your files always that big? If the latter, I'm glad not to see this issue. L0op8ack Posted July 10, 2012 Author Posted July 10, 2012 No, it will be backuped as dcs.log.old when you start next mission. So, you will always get 2 huge log files. :)
BRooDJeRo Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I only get huge log files of Gb size when hosting a mission. Still for just a log file its still kindof large. Does the beta have somesort of extra log settings for debugging reasons in place?
