Silver_Dragon Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I apologize for being a bore. But I have seen that certain details that would not be bad correction to improve the immersion of this CA module. My recommendations: 1st: Several of the anti-aircraft missile systems are not functioning very realistic, for example, all infrared-guided missiles. Unless I am mistaken, these systems can not discriminate a target by the operator to plan to be locked by visual mode, but are similar performance to a aim-9/R-60 missile, producing a "tone" or signal before the shooting: -Sa-9 -Sa-13 -Bradley Linebacker -Hummer Avenger -Chaparel 2nd: the positions of the crosshairs of the main armament and coaxial certain vehicles do not correspond with the actual locations, but where detailed models are already modeling the positions of the gunner's periscope in these models. 3rd: The recharge times and animation of the main guns do not seem to correspond to reality, lacking in some recoil and sound of reloading, there is no vibration or misalignment of the sights to make fire. Another point is the lack of sound and the inability to shoot between ammo switch to another in the main guns of tanks. 4ft: The lack of tracer in the tank main armament and the high-explosive projectiles explode as the artillery projectiles. Pikey Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 1. Agree with your view, I believe it is currently "simplified" in this version and we have to find out if it will ever change later, ie not a bug but a feature by design. 2. I'm not sure what you mean but it sounds really important, i'm having some difficulty with the views that I can't quite describe and maybe you did! 3. Not sure the "sight" is connected to the barrel in most vehicles in a way that would make a huge movement, if anything there woudl be a slight rocking on the suspension, most recoil is taken in the weapon mounting, but I understand this may differ from vehicle to vehicle, but you could add that to a wishlist post for more realism in fire effect, especially for spotting the round in flight and it's landing spot, which i would love too. 4. Same as 3, more realism in the firing of the main gun and the projectile. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
Silver_Dragon Posted July 14, 2012 Author Posted July 14, 2012 On point 2, I explain: All tanks have a set of systems viewer / telescope / optics, this system typically allows fire both main gun, coaxial and any weapons installed on it. There are not sight only for coaxial weapons, so this view is just an addition to the simplified system. In CA tanks, the player shoots the weapon from a position above the main armament and coax something out of all realism. The focus should be in a position more in line with reality, even though this is not entirely accurate to reality. Another problem is that the position of the sight on the barrel does not allow long-distance shot, restricting the shot to a kind of street fighting at close or very close range. The shooting of one or two thousand meters is almost impossible. I put a few examples in pictures of a T-80 tank on CA: Yellow and orange have the positions of the cannon shot sight of main and coaxial machine gun in CA. In green we see the position of the combined sight gunner. This look allows any projectile firing both HE and AP as a machine gun without changing optics. We must mention that there is an auxiliary sight for the shot in case the main sight stay damaged, it must be borne in mind that is very similar to that used in CA. I think they should change the sight of position and let the sights of weapons auxiliary coaxial as it looks, but in both cases allowing use both the gun and coaxial machine gun without switching sights. a view or realistic gunner T-80A sight only example Also I think you should do in all tanks and vehicles of CA, changing his sight positions to a realistic view positions, as much improved field of view and would be more immersive. Mustang Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 4ft: The lack of tracer in the tank main armament and the high-explosive projectiles explode as the artillery projectiles. I've uploaded a tracer effect for the AP rounds in this post http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1505793&postcount=7
71st_Mastiff Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) I've uploaded a tracer effect for the AP rounds in this post http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1505793&postcount=7 don't see a difference? They both are the same files same date and time. :joystick: Edited July 16, 2012 by Mastiff "any failure you meet, is never a defeat; merely a set up for a greater come back", W Forbes. Silver_Dragon Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Surely you have placed the tracer element. Now, if you do not mind, I advise a suggestion. - Have ammunition for both tanks generic "blue" Western, such as "Red" Russians. For that, I think it's best to put a few reference images. First a few pictures of Western tank cannon ammunition: http://www.inetres.com/gp/military/cv/weapon/M256.html M829A2 Armor Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot - Tracer (APFSDS-T) this can serve to improve the model, as APDFS are linear, no lumps, and there is much more notches on the projectile (extend in texture) Another thing is to add a HEAT round (high explosive anti-tank) a good example: M830 High Explosive Anti-Tank Multi-Purpose Tracer (HEAT-MP-T, or MPAT) For "red" tanks http://www.kotsch88.de/m_125_mm_d-81.htm Antitank: BM-46 "Svinets" (Much like your projectile APDFS-T) HEAT: BK-18M: For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

159_Archer Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I can add to the weapons bugs when 'driving' a Strela 10 (might well apply to all IR SAMs?) in a 159th squad-flight last night; I got a lock on something and hit what turned out to be a Kh-25 incoming to a vehicle near-by. The game-log confirmed that my Strela got the kill. Surely IR SAMs can't do this?
